Some politician leaves his running mate off the literature his campaign passes out to some Union groups. Big deal. Sometimes your running mate may have been less than perfect for part of your hoped for voters, so you don't mention that to part of your base. Except he's black. Ok, knee jerk racist bull, nothing to see here, move along, because, you know, Democrats get a pass for being racist. After all, didn't he choose a Black man to show how racist he isn't? Why are we even talking about this? Just let go. Democrats. Pass, given. A few things did come to mind, however. The Vice President often is chosen for the votes he brings in, and everyone pretty much prays he'll never have to take over. In fact, in several recent cases, the VP choice is SUPPOSED to make you afraid to assassinate the President. Fairly or unfairly, VP's tend to have a rep. Al Gore was an uptight rich jerk whose wife is most famous for complaining about the evils of Rock Music. Joe Biden & Dan Quayle were considered idiots that ensured no one wanted to get rid of their bosses. Dick Cheney was a frightening shadow hidden in a bunker with spider legs tugging the web of evil in the dark so he wouldn't burst into flames like Dracula. Mike Pence also seems to be considered the "please don't kill his Boss" pick, to the point that the "must Impeach Trump" crowd always toss off the "and Pence has to quit himself too because, you know, evil" which just goes to show how insane the Trump haters are. ( because he won't, and you know it ) Or simply that 2 solid years of "you must hate Trump" propaganda ( unnecessary, hilariously, IMHO ) means that ANYONE, including Richard Nixon's Brain in a jar mounted on a robot killing machine is preferable. Lieutenant Governors are a far more ignorable breed. Google Governor Cuomo (Emperor, D. New York ) and his bio on the side pf the Google results page, doesn't even include the Lieutenant Governor. ( President's bios have the Veep ) Neither does his Web page, at ALL. You have to go to the "about" section and far down on the page is a tiny window and pic of his minion. Then a Whole lot of BIG pictures of the Emperor giving stuff away surrounded by smiling children and professional extras. Andrew The First has an exceptional Ego, but I bet most Governors pretty much ignore their running mate as soon as they win the election. The rare cases when a Governor has to leave office because of death or hookers driven across state lines are rare. And even when it does happen, the Lieutenant Governor almost always is a place holder for the Attorney General the next election. ( the guy who's been making a name for himself "taking on the evil bankers" while collecting donations from them. ) So, it's kinda normal to ignore your Lieutenant Governor candidate running mate. Once he's chosen you just send him to the small towns to attend the fundraiser dinners and kiss babies. SO, nothing to see here, right? Pretty much. I expect a Democrat to exploit Black people, since that's the Party platform since long before declaring the Confederacy, starting the Klu Klux Klan and writing all the Jim Crow laws forbidding black people an equal place in society and government. But I expect that because I know a little about history, and they don't teach that stuff anymore. It's Normal to downplay any connection with the negroes when you are pandering to your redneck base. Then eat fried chicken when you are in your Urban Plantation and need to show face among your Sure Vote Property. Thus it's a little surprising that this completely normal case of racism, common and endemic to the Klan Party, gets any reaction at all. But, of course, don't expect this on CNN. | ||

Have you seen these TV ads for a video game, "Wolfenstein II"? Start out with a voiceover, "want to strike fear into the nazis? Actually, the Nazis, and the Communists, while being ideologically nearly identical, were bitter rivals, like 2 street gangs battling over turf. Antifa was the Communist Party thugs who fought the fascists in pre-WW2 Europe for dominance, The Current incarnation doesn't have any fascists to battle, but Christians, Constitutional Republics, and anyone who isn't THEM is good enough. Besides, Nazi is a good lie to use about an enemy. It has emotional weight. Even better, the same people who pay for Antifa ( the Soros group of Social Change ) to go riot, also are the main Mantra feed for the Media. How else could "It's Ok to punch a Nazi" become group think across so many news agencies? They are all on Journo List. They all get the story of the day from the same sources. ( hey, beats working for a living, I guess ) I'll bet Julie couldn't tell the difference between National Socialists and International Communists. Parroting Wikpedia doesn't count. | ||

I know it. All the labels thrown around...Nazi, fascist, socialist, communist...are all just competing forms of authoritarian government. I'm not a fan of any. Nothing triggers liberals like the thought of free markets, free people, and free ideas. They're rooting for "free stuff" via taxpayer money instead...except Bernie Sanders. They're very intolerant of anyone ridiculing their hero and intellectual and ideological equal. | ||

Didn't Soros, the "philanthropist" just donate 18 billion to his political action group? How "charitable." What a coincidence. It will likely be money down the drain, like the rest of their foolish fake causes. They appear to be orchestrating the "alt left" and "alt right," which by all appearances the former are radical leftists and the latter leftist scum masquerading as right wingers. I believe we'll be seeing the same rent a riots and incessant protesting of every stupid thing just like after the election. The communist agitators will be out in full force. The skinny jeans militia of gender bending nitwits. Antifa is a joke. I think to engage such people in "battle" should be beneath anyone's dignity. The riot police should deal with them swiftly. It looks like the guy who attacked Rand Paul was also a neighbor. There could be plenty of reasons for an attack among neighbors. You would expect though, that a beef between neighbors would be known prior to it coming to blows. Failing other motives, the political motive certainly seems very plausible, and being a neighbor simply facilitated the whack job in question by giving him the proximity to make the attack possible. | ||
