Um....yeah squids. Costume notwithstanding, she blossomed years ago. Quite nicely. |

Hey Joe! Yeah, seems I almost remember a more recent movie that she was in, looking quite nicely... always liked her, growing to be a very good actress. |

The "Addams Family" films are a couple of my favorite films. Not only for the great performance of the the young Christina Ricci, ( Who in my opinion STOLE every "Mermaids" scene she was in from Cher and Winona Ryder), but also for the amazing onscreen chemistry between Angelica Houston's Morticia, and Raul Julia's Gomez. Their tango scene in the sequel was literally incendiary. |

+1. I hated to hear of Raul Julia passing years ago- he was too young, too talented. I'll have to see if any of my streaming services carry those flicks. |

I much prefer John Astin's "Gomez". Possibly because I know him personally. He's a true prince of a man and absolutely WONDERFUL to work with. |

I loved John Astin's "Gomez" too, and I have also read elsewhere he's a really kind man in person, but I think his wild eyed zaniness would have been a detraction from the more disturbed and smoldering passion of Raul Julia's version. I'm also not convinced the photo of Ms Ricci, all grown up in the "Morticia" costume is entirely genuine. I suspect some photoshopping. |

that may have been photoshopped, Christina's better endowed. Totally unrelated.

I won John over before our first show, by walking up to him and simply saying "I'm feeling MUCH better now!". He smiled so wide I thought his head was going to split in two, jumped up and down like a 10 year old, pointed at me and hollered "BUDDY!!!" Look up old Night Court episodes for that one... John's wild-eyed expressions are character, plain and simple. On the street? He's "just John", totally normal guy, super sweet, loves sushi and cigars and does one HELL of a one-man Edgar Allan Poe show. You wanna talk about John and some wild-eye zaniness? Damn, dude...he doesn't "play" Poe...he freakin' IS Poe on stage. It's uncanny. And mesmerizing. Remind me to tell you about dinner sometime with him, his wife Val, some sushi, and a production manager who'd never had wasabi before and was told it was "mint sauce, pile it on there man!" (Did I mention a wicked sense of humor, too?) About five minutes later, a bar patron walked past the table, eyeballed John, started to say "you look like...", and with a wonderful game-show-host-grin John said "yea...I get that a lot!" and simply took a sip of his Guinness. The patron paused...glanced around the table at the rest of us (barely able to contain ourselves)...and smiled like he'd just won the lottery. He puts everyone at ease around him, and this fella immediately was let "into" the joke and made part of it. Made all of our nights. Damn. I need to go see him again. Been too many years... |

I am so happy this clown didn't succeed in his suicide by cop. He's only 30 so will have to wait many many years in a cell before he gets his 15,000,000 naked boys or whatever he thinks he's gonna get. |
