I saw some interesting numbers in the "71% of Americans Say Politics Has Reached a Dangerous Low Point" story currently making the rounds. I assumed Trump would get all the blame but not so, he was only fourth. 65% blamed $$$ in politics, 56% blamed wealthy donors, 56% blamed people with extreme views, 51% blamed Trump, 47% blamed congress, 38% blamed republicans, 32% blamed democrats. | ||

This is a MAJOR problem with the State Dept. that hires Ivy League morons who negotiate with people from, say, China, and have no concept of how the other people think, and believe, without thinking, that the Must think the same way. I think we all have a little of that tendency, but who thinks that a crack smoking mugger with a pipe who wants your wallet is concerned with his mortgage payment? In the Social Media Introverse, when someone accuses you of being racist, they may be a parrot with a tiny brain, or a racist who KNOWS you must be too. And we are talking Democrats, the party leaders, those 79 year old white rich people who personally were besties with the Klan, had lunch every day with Klan leaders ( in the Senate lunchroom, for decades ) and may have personally coordinated "get out the vote" action with the Klan back in the 1950-70's. ( where the Klan shows up and politely threatens to murder your family if you don't register, and Vote, Democrat. And they KNOW if you don't since the Town Clerk is keeping track, when he's not out for a good lynching ) | ||

Current rumours from the Illegal Leak from the Special Prosecutor's Staff, show they may be ready to press charges, or at least a smear job, on one of Donald's former campaign managers. ( for stuff utterly unrelated to the campaign, btw ) They are on a witch hunt, and they get to say what a witch looks like since there have been no legal or rational bounds on the investigation. So at least One swamp dweller might be going down. If all Donald does is get a few hundred of his own staff and former staff removed from the swamp, he'll have accomplished much more than most presidents in memory, going back to Eisenhower. If the Persecution Team wasn't mostly crooked Hillary supporters, there could be a LOT more swamp dwellers going to prison. Maybe we need more tin plated Un-secret Police with delusions of godhood to tackle the Clintons. And the Obamas. And the Soroses. And.... Perhaps that way leads to madness. | ||

On the original "True Patriot American" question, I can say that I really wasn't until I'd been out of the military for a while, seen how soft people are in general and how screwed up the socially engineered segment of society is. Nothing makes one value the basic principals of freedom like being a piece of military equipment for a while. On the Democrat tactics for the past few years, it's funny to see them play the same stupid games that backfire on them time and time again. Every time they do it's back to some other make believe story or existential "threat to democracy." They're all broken Shia LaBeoufs trying to maintain some semblance of control and sanity when it's already long gone  I think Trump is boorish and has some really bad ideas, but the general direction is mildly acceptable. The daily Trumpaphobia is insane. Some can't say his name and simply refer to him as "45." To some he's literally Hitler. Others call him Drumpf as if it somehow hurts the feelings of supporters. Others go with the ever popular "Cheeto Jesus." It would all be funny, honestly, if they weren't so dead serious about such silliness. It's like trying to slash or stab someone with a dildo. It's confusing at first as it's hard to tell if the intent is a joke or to harm...but with the conviction and anger of a madman it just comes off as insane. | ||

Thanks Blake. I have been patronized a bit by a couple former high school classmates over the past couple years on social media. I'm unsure whether to be grateful or embarrassed. My Canadian counterparts and their friends have been a little less receptive...though they've been most entertaining Speaking bluntly and unapologetically often does not make friends. As far as all the political trash, in a nutshell, what the postmodernist and sociological constructs seek to do is impart social reforms, maintain a level of creeping socialism, and have people willingly accept an ever more direct authoritarian style leadership without killing millions of people...I think...anyway...

I wouldn't write off the "old guys" so quickly, either. You'll be in that group soon enough, just the same. They've been around decades longer than yourself, giving them a perspective you cannot know. Many have faced death a time or two, a triumph that gives life a meaning you may not know. They've lived through tragedies most have not yet seen, giving them a depth many have yet to experience. They've likely seen grandchildren raised by their sons and daughters giving a richness to life you have likely not felt. Most of all, they tend to be wise and pragmatic as it is discovered that ideology is more a problem than a solution. Things that work are always more practical than things that sound good on the surface. Being in a perpetual state of childishness is not an enviable state of being. | ||

Hollyweird from time to time has little implosions when one or more in their rank is exposed. Some signal their virtue. Some claim ignorance. Others play victim. Once it's out of the current news cycle it's back to business as usual. These people have wealth and influence. To some that means something. I think they should clean their ranks and stick to entertainment instead of constantly proving themselves to be the world's biggest hypocrites, assholes, and idiots. As far as actors I admire it's been no surprise to see that Jennifer Lawrence is a total retard. It was sad to see Scarlett Johansson as a libtard as well. Oh well. With many of them being liberal arts graduates living in the moonbat Hollyweird bubble since children in an often predatory environment, it would be surprising if they were not all at least mildly disturbed. | ||

Speaking bluntly and unapologetically often does not make friends. Perhaps not, but I've found that good friends are not found in large quantities. I would much rather have a handful of quality friends than dozens who would abandon you when that friendship is really needed. +1 on enjoying your thoughts. In large cities, in order to "fit in" with others they all want to think alike. I see this all the time and is why I'm not invited to a lot of parties!
