The wife and I had an argument on the validity of the Hispanic and Latin American designations. They're technically a mix of Amerindian plus others. Biologically there's only the human race. The genetic differences between what is designated as different races is so small as to have no scientific differentiation. It's, in essence, a social construct. Other than a method of identification and for statistical purposes there appears to be little need for such differentiation. In fact, if we're to be honest, there little need for it at all. Logically it's no different than the vast gender constructs. Technically we're all homo-sapiens. Races are actually not races but ethnic groups...though geographic dispersion largely renders ethnic groups as a diverse but diluted pool. When it comes down to it race, is too, a construct used as a political tool by the social constructionists...like everything else. As far as human anthropology goes, the three to four designations are useful for identifying the migrations of different geographic groups throughout history. According to biology, we're all people, and the left considers such an idea an assault on their religion of the State and as Heresy of the highest order. State any of the above to your average "progressive" leftist and you're called a racist uneducated "science" denier...as all that liberal arts indoctrination rooted deep in French and German revolutionaries is soo enlightening |

Not quite true. Africans whose ancestors never left Africa and then migrated back to Africa are Homo Sapiens. The rest of us are Homo Sapien - Neanderthal mutts. |

I believe it’s three: Mongoloid, negroid, and caucasoid. Just describes bone structure. |

There are no biological races in humans. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC37373 65/

Europeans are Homo-Sapien/Neanderthal mutts. Blondes have more Neaderthal genes, Redheads are a Neaderthal mutation. The "pure man" Homo-Sapiens is found in the bloodlines of Australia, Asia, Africa, and Native Americans. The Europeans famously will have sex with anything, so there are a lot of cross breeds running around that aren't admitted to. I suppose that means my 2 nieces who were adopted from Korea, half Korean, half Black American, are more pureblood than I am. Oh what is a Muggle to do? Nope The only homo sapiens are black Africans whose ancestors never left Africa. Many black Africans have neanderthal DNA because their ancestors left, interbred, and returned. But there are pockets of homo sapiens left in Africa. Everyone...EVERYONE...else is a mutt. |

Aussie Aboriginals. Oldest Homo Sapiens. I could be wrong, they keep changing their minds based on DNA testing. Science is never settled. |

Based on the results of the Human Genome Project, the Aussie's ancestors were already Homo Sapien-Neanderthal hybrids when they left Asia and started migrating through Indonesia toward Australia. At least according to the show I watched. They were very specific...only black Africans whose ancestors never left Africa are Homo Sapiens. Everyone else is a hybrid. |

Those are great stories, but there isn't enough genetic differentiation to delineate different species in any modern human. |

I don’t know where you’re getting your information, but there’s Neanderthal DNA in almost all of us. |

Race does not equal species race=subspecies According to the mother of all information, wikipedia, there are three types of race: Chromosomal (microscopically similar) Geographical (location/isolation based similarities) Physiological (similar traits, behaviors, customs, habitat similarities) Are you a Eurasian wolf, a Tundra wolf, or a Dingo? They can all interbreed, you can look at them and quantify their differences, but they're all wolves and they're all freaking awesome. What you need to look out for is when wolves start dressing as sheep. That's where the problems come from. If you were to make one of these for humans, you wouldn't have many hard-lined boundaries where one color stops and another color begins. It would look more like a painters pallet. Most of the distinct colors would blend together at the edges. (Message edited by torquehd on October 26, 2017) |

Furthermore, I've spent a good amount of time in Asia. I can typically look at an Asian and identify Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Singaporean, Filippino, Thai, Nepali, Indian, etc. We can agree that they're all Asian, which I would argue is a subspecies, but you also have sub-sub-species. And it's beautiful and I love it, but the left wants to act like it's a sin to acknowledge the wonderful diversity that we call "culture". We're all one race, one gender, one religion, and if you think differently then you're a racist fascist biggot and it's fine to use violence against you. Edit - the only exception to the one race/one gender/one religion is if you're a white male Christian. Then you're subhuman and you should be purged from the earth. Edit 2 - most confusing to me, from a visual ID standpoint - some Hispanics look like Indians (feather not dot) which sometimes look like Alaskan Natives which sometimes look like Pacific Islanders or Chamorros which sometimes look like either Japanese or Singaporeans or Vietnamese... it's not a hard line between color differences, it's an art from the hand of God himself. Freaking amazing and beautiful and we should cherish it. (Message edited by torquehd on October 26, 2017) |

Genetics indicate that native Americans are most genetically similar to Indians. Columbus was accidentally partially right. Not surprising that native Americans sometimes can resemble Indians. |

So, I've been looking at the Sig Sauer P227 variants. I like the longer barrel but don't need the utility rail underneath. Too bad they only seam to melt the corners and remove the rail on the shorter one. |

I meant to say race. Regardless, race is a social construct with no scientific basis. Julie, keep calling us stupid when literally every faux leftist cause is based on pseudo science and pseudo intellectualism. It's all grounded steeply in German sociology and French postmodernism...and it all sucks. |

Not really. They expect everyone to accept their victimhood/privilege hierarchy and their vast gender bending spectrums and such...as well as to ignore the obvious inconsistencies, logical fallacies, and conflicting ideologies. |

We are one race, biologically. There are only two sexes. Killing fetuses is killing fetuses. Nobody cares what your sexual preferences are (so long as it's legal in your respective country). All religions are fine except for those guys that want to kill all others and stuff. The gender pay gap is a myth. The "living wage" is good marketing for bad policy. The only acceptable minimum wage in a free society is none. Taxation is theft. Guns don't kill people. Get off my lawn. May liberal heads explode. (Message edited by Rick_a on October 27, 2017) |

Bell Curve. Stupid auto correct. Russian/trumpsterz? A buddy reminded me when I complained about Donald that my desire, publicly expressed, was "anything but Hillary", & I got that, so I "won". Now we know for sure the Clintons paid for the Russian intelligence propaganda against Donald. Collusion with a foreign power to influence the election. With falsehoods. The only question is how hard Vladimir was laughing when he approved the operation. |

I stand corrected on the Neanderthal DNA. Species? Interbreeding isn't a criteria anymore, is it? Biology is changing daily. I pay more attention to aerospace. |

Donald Trump, and Trump voters and supporters, triggered an entire planet. That's commendable. "Scream helplessly at the sky" day is coming soon. Will Julie be participating? I love how the darling bestie of yesterday is the demon of today. Is there a name for the leftist strategy of accusing your enemies of committing your sins? |

My Ex will likely always make more money than me. Why? She went to school to make that money, and I didn't. I'm not mad at anybody about that, and it's absolutely fair that it is the way it is. She's a big liberal Obama supporter, thinks Chicago (her home town) is running just fine. |

Regardless of ‘race’, we are all very closely related. Not much variation. I am more genetically similar to an Australian Aboriginal than are a dog and her pup. At least three near-extinction events saw to that. |

Julie's lack of ability to defend her views, has inspired free ranging commentary on genetics, planetary immigration, and a host of subjects. It's not just about you, Julie. You are just being an incoherent version of the Barbie Doll Parrot Edition. You have yet to defend an idea, or speak with other than anger. Come on, we invite you to grow as a human being and experience the pleasure of learning new things, changing your mind when the facts show you are in error, and perhaps even convince another or the rightness of your moral views. Or you can giggle like a 13 year old using bad words in a video game. Your choice, your loss. |
