The German firm sent them a sealed test tube on a polished wood plaque, with "the world's smallest drill bit" inside, just as a joking nudge. With a nice mounted magnifying lens, so you could see it.
It was returned with a series of holes drilled in the hardened alloy tool, sideways through the shaft. |

If I understand the facts right, the dead drug victim was not choked, no bruises to show that, but died In Police Custody of heart failure, common in K2 deaths.

Checking with local EMTs, restraining someone having a psychotic episode on K2 can lead to increasingly violent agitation and death. But unrestrained the user can harm or kill others, and themselves. ( "dove through a plate glass window, & the coroner couldn't tell if it was the drug, or pumping air, from massive blood loss, that killed him. That was a sucky day." ) ( he agreed that was a bad pun )
And restrained can mean just holding the arms to stop them from hitting people.
My Sifu was very emphatic about the morality of use of force. I understand the technique and dangers of air & blood chokes. Never used them. ( outside of training ) As a second to last resort, I "prefer" joint locks, with the danger of permanently crippling damage. But I know martial artists that prefer a choke hold as less dangerous, and you can chalk the different opinions up to training, or the innate superiority of your preferred Art. Won't argue, it's a grey area.
Ultimately the cause of death was drug reaction. Mr. Penny will bear the guilt of the death because if he hadn't protected others, the guy might have died a few hours, or weeks later. He certainly wasn't going to stop risky drug use. He might have passed out and died after getting off the train, still screaming at people, or, ironically, several minutes earlier, if Penny had not touched him at all, or put him in a Rescue Position.
I haven't seen all the evidence, but what has been made public? Looks like a responsible use of force, and more than due care to preserve the addict's life.

It's never just one thing that crashes a civilization.
In Syria, it's Obama, his policies to enable, fund, and give military aid to the Muslim Brotherhood affiliates to conquer multiple countries, including Syria. Plus the "deal" Obama made with Putin. Putin got a warm water port for his Navy and a staging area for African Adventures in exploitation. In return, Putin was to end the Syrian chemical weapons program.
He didn't. Israel did, this week.
Obama, America's First Communist & Taqiyya President, knows communists lie. Personally.
He didn't care about Syrians murdered by the Assad regime anymore than Vladimir does.
What is so ironic it's beyond parody, is that Assad was the darling of the Left, right up until Barry chose to support the murderous Islamists against him. Assad's wife was a celebrity!

Now, I'm no fan of the Alawite Clan head's brutal dictatorship, nor "Colonel" Gaddafi's in Libya.
