Out of curiosity, how did Buelltoberfest end up being Buellvemberfest for the second year. Is this the new standard? My concern is that the people from the northers states, this gets them into even colder temps to travel through. I know in past years I've woken up to 29° and very heavy frost, even last year I opted out fearing with a November date the weather would just be to poor for enjoyable riding. Turns out last year the weather was beautiful in November.
Yeah- it'll be a bit nippy. If it'd been warmer in the year and I could string together a few days in a row, I'd like to get back one day and actually camp by the creek, ideally with some good buddies. My routine now is to just book a lodge room and ideally split the costs with a roommie. Having that living room and kitchenette, plus the nice shower and bathroom is the way to go.
Sure hope I'm not too broke after Vegas, REALLY want to do a serious amount of riding before winter sets in. Not to mention Jeremy rolling on what looks to be a sweetly set-up old steed!
Another idea: One of these weekends next year, I'd love to get back to Copperhead Lodge up the road in Blairsville. When I booked that NICE cabin with them, I really enjoyed it. Now don't get me wrong, my first love and loyalty is with TWoS, but the amenities at Copperhead are super nice. LOVE me a hot tub after a day's worth of riding!
I'm almost afraid to let my enthusiasm build. First, I got sick and didn't make the West Virginia Buell Rally, which I was REALLY looking forward to; then, I spaced out the dates for the AIM Expo and missed that. I really want to make it back to Suches, but I think I should keep a low profile about it. I really don't want to jinx myself.
Yeah, me too. Sitting here on a GORGEOUS day, sick (I hardly EVAAAR get sick), trying to get back some strength and a little mojo, to maybe get out and run around a bit on the Beemer. Got a LOT to do before I head out to Vegas, hoping tomorrow on my last day off to do so. Things at work have really soured me on the place, so I'm also getting ready to put out feelers for something new and more remunerative.
Buellvmberfest is a LONG way off for me just yet. By the time it comes around, though, I'll be ready for a little respite from my life lately.
I am riding the same kind of wave Crusty! Made it to Buells in the alps 7 got ill while there and a bearing started buzzing so I cut it short. Then the weekend before WVBR i fell out the door of my motorhome breaking a rib, messing up my back, and cracking a bone in my left arm.

Maybe my brain is just jelly now, but when you and me the other 2 guys shared the place at Copperhead, it was the old 1125R. I'd remember watching you ride away from me on a Husky, chasing Charlie.
Got pics? Anyhoo, I sure hope to see you again if it all falls together the right way. Hell, going senile at 50, WTF.
