My coworkers are going to launch a new app this spring, called Kayu. It's a social networking app that matches users by keyword. Keyword your interests, like Motorcycles, Deals Gap, and it will match you up with others interested in the same thing. Then communicate through the app and setup a ride. SCA, steam trains, my little pony, snowmobiles, skydiving, Chinese language, whatever you'd like to do with other people. Then communicate through the app and setup your tutoring or date or ride or Kungfu lessons or hike or whatever. By your location, or by your desired location (like, Motorcycles in Suches Ga) It's designed to get people off of facebook and instagram and get people back to going out and doing things in real life with real people again. "Verified" users have passed a background check so you have some level of security. They have different tiers setup based on whether you just want to meetup, or share lodging or transportation or admission price or whatever but I don't foresee myself using that feature. Kayuapp.com. It will be totally free to download and use. They've already tapped some heavy investors and names and their app is supposed to go big. App is currently in Beta phase, the interface is supposed to be super streamlined and user friendly. |

I'm sure "hooker" will be censored. "call girl" as two separate words, who knows. |

Does it really require an app? It does not sound like anything that a website couldn't do. |

Apps are everything to many of the younger generation. And trust me when I say that no amount of word censoring will prevent the sex for money trade, or the sex for whatever trade. It's barely slowed people on Craigslist down. I foresee working with law enforcement a lot as they track down the IP the comment/ad was posted from, who replied and where they are from, etc. Better put a plan in place for this right now as it will become an issue in many ways. |

Seems to be an unfortunate truth. The school I work for was trying to get me to help develop an app, and I kept pushing back on the administration that there is no need, as we already have a fantastic website which is mobile friendly, and making an app would waste time, money, and will never work on every device. The website works great on everything with a browser (including my Nintendo 3DS), there is nothing else an app would be able to add. But to the administration, app = cool, just like the "cloud is taking over everything", so now I'm basically going to be forced to figure out a way to put a glorified shortcut to our website on the app stores and call it an app. Yay for me. |

You mean you expect me to tap the browser icon, then tap in the address bar, and then type in the first letter of the site I want to visit (the rest will autofill) and lastly I have to tap "go"? Then I'll have to scroll to the part of the page I want to visit. Too much work. It's a wonder people nowadays have the patience to operate a Keurig. Everything is a tap away, or better yet, say, "Ok Google". I'm still waiting for "Ok Google. Extra large bold, black, 190 degrees". Still too many words. "Ok google, the regular". |

No; a Regular coffee is coffee with cream and sugar. Anyone who's lived in Massachusetts can tell you that. |

No, that's a coffee with cream and sugar. That's like saying a regular hamburger has cheese and bacon. Except a bacon cheeseburger is good. Cream and sugar in coffee is not. |

Crusty is speaking dunkin'. If you go to a New England dunkin' for a black coffee with no sugar, you have to say just those words right there. Otherwise they SHOVEL the sugar into it. The stirrer will stick in like a sandy beach. |
