Well, I've got all of my reservations in for Columbus, OH at the end of September. Just a damned shame there won't be any new EBR models to see. Will anybody else be in the area for this event? |

I think I'll ride up. It's only 100 miles or so from me. |

That's right! You're now a "Mid-Westerner!" Did I miss the "Farewell BBQ??" |

Unfortunately, the BBQ never happened. getting everything together for the move was a lot more involved than I expected and I just didn't have the time. I wonder if there's good BBQ near the show? |

By the way... Pittsburg isn't that much farther away than Columbus... and there's a MotoAmerica round next month. I've already got my tickets and hotel registration; unfortunately we seem to be in a "No Man's Land" without a single Waffle House or Cracker Barrel within 50 miles. |

If there is no Cracker Barrel . . . why go? :-) |

Never knew it moved. It's been an Orlando thing for years. Ah well. You might enjoy the AMA motorcycle hall of fame near Columbus. I went in the early 90's when my sister lived there. Looks like their collection stops in the 80's. They need the '09 championship winning 1125R on display. |

I've been to that museum multiple times. I stopped there every year on my way back from the Indianapolis MotoGP (so it's been a couple of years since I've been there). And yes, this is the first year the AIMExpo is in Columbus. Last year it was still in Orlando. I was on my way there to see it but Hurricane Matthew shut down I-95 on the North and South Carolina border (by Lumberton) and I couldn't find a way past. |

Right in my back yard! So I will be there. Mike Pence is going to be there to say what those folks say. I'm sure he will only be there for the Dealer part of the wing ding. There is a Cracker Barrel in Grove City just south of 270. Saturday Breakfast meet and eat? |

Politics aside, I'm grateful Pence's State hosted the MotoGP for as long as it did. I may not agree on most of his political positions but that, at least, earns him the creds to speak at AIMExpo as far as I'm concerned (although I would think if ANY Republican should speak at that event it should be Ohio Governor Kasich. It IS in his backyard, after all). |

Kasich is too busy with people dropping off state fair rides. "Now Hiring, Ohio State Ride Inspectors. Learn on the job. No experience necessary." I spent the hurricane watching the storm plots and hoping it went past, like it did. I hadn't seen my neighborhood so empty in a decade. |

Yeah, the resort I originally booked in New Smyrna Beach is no more. I booked a resort on the Gulf Coast but had to cancel as I couldn't get past Lumberton, NC. I understand Orlando was also unaffected but there were very few people in attendance compared to previous years. Biketoberfest wasn't canceled but had far lower participation as well. Hey, at least everything was up and running for the BIG event in March. |

It luckily skimmed FL. I'm fine with things doing that. Even this year with a good amount of activity coming over from africa it hasn't built any really bad ones so far. Just regular rain that hopefully is filling the aquifer. Now the sink holes are an entirely different problem. lol |
