About 3 hours for each one, but I am printing on the highest quality settings, which uses more material.
I currently have them printed out in Red, Yellow (barricade orange), black, white, and blue. I did print one in Carbon Fiber, it ended up messing up my printer so no more of those for now, but it does weigh 4 grams instead of 5 like the regular PLA plastics. I attempted to print one in a rubbery flexible filament, but had zero luck getting it to stick.
I do have lime green printing as we speak, since it will take 9 hours I won't know until morning how good or bad it comes out. Tomorrow I'll try one in glow in the dark, and I also have some copper infused (supposedly will turn green as it oxygenates), and some turquoise.
My plan is to roll up Friday, head to Chesnee SC early Saturday morning, hang there for a good while, then roll back for what I expect to be a dang nice dinner with Mike and his wife! Hugh, any idea what that might be as of yet?
I'm just in dire need of some quality wheelin' time, and some shits and giggles with all you nutters.
Cool beans buddy! Just looked at the route to Chesnee SC, and there are several other routes south to make it there... I'll study on that and report.
I checked out the link you posted for Chesnee's festival- sounds like they've got quite a bit going on! I'd love another ride down that highway to Blowing Rock and Lake Lure, did that YEARS ago on my old '82 R65 after Asheville's last Honda Hoot- looks like after that there are a couple of doglegs over to Chesnee. Depending on time, I could do fast there, slow back, or vice versa. Pretty sure that'll be my Saturday itinerary...
Spoke with Vern earlier today, we're both jonesing for next weekend!
Hugh, check the weather going towards next weekend... here in E TN they're calling for 50-60% chance of rain. I believe Saturday will be drier. Hoping NOT to have to break out the rain gear in this humidity, but heck, even in the rain the BRP is pretty nice!
FWIW, I'm planning on heading down Saturday to that Chesnee SC town whooptedoo. I know the roads there and back will be awesome, hoping to roll through Blowing Rock and Lake Lure on either the down or back. Gotta study the maps a bit more.
My truck locked up its motor yesterday, and I've budgeted for this trip regardless. NEED some wheelin' time, knees in da breeze. F* it, I'm heading that way. Hoping to roll with Vern, at least half or most of the way up the BRP. Weather will affect some things, or not.
If anyone's interested, we could alternatively ride to Chesnee to the antique bike meet on Saturday morning. 58 miles/1 hour 16 minutes one-way according to google maps. Not too much in the way of twisties on that route, but it'd probably be a nice ride.
