When she returned to what she thought was her safe space, she was lynched, raped, and treated like an unappreciated solder returning from a war.
She valiantly donned all the mantles of victimhood she could muster, but it wasn't enough. Fight the good fight.
After being publicly lynched and blamed for her own rape, I'm not sure how she'll be able to move on, especially while being paid while on a temporary suspension. What war was she in? The article didn't mention it.
“I thought it would be a safe place for me,” she told the paper, referring to the college. “I thought when I came home from war, I would be safe.” Instead she said she was fired.
Durden's attorney, Leslie Farber, said she believes her client's free speech rights were violated.
"It is free speech guaranteed by the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution and New Jersey law," Farber told Fox News Sunday.
As usual, the crazy liberals don't understand our rights. Sure she has the right to say something. That doesn't mean she is protected from consequences. It's not like the 2nd amendment protects you from the consequences of shooting someone. Rights and responsibilities go hand in hand.
Sure, you can SAY whatever you want. Burn a flag. Proclaim your religion.
However...so can the people who don't share your views. And if those people happen to have power over you (i.e. your BOSS)...your actions and words will have consequences.
For too long, "free speech" has been used as a "get out jail free" card. Go ahead and say it...just don't be surprised if people get pissed off about it.
Free speech.
Common sense.
Manners.
Life isn't "a rule"...it's a delicately balanced equation.
"History of the USA is to suck people in with a lie, promise of paradise"
Somewhat true, but that was before the US controlled Louisiana. The French were notorious liars when it came to promoting New Orleans in Europe. You should see the paintings. Mountains everywhere, and not a swamp in sight.
The US promises "The American Dream", which is still achievable. The problem is, it's disguised as work, which is not something a lot of people are interested in any longer.
But you're probably right Alf. The US sucks. After a few centuries of lies, those foolish immigrants are finally beginning to understand that they'll just be exploited if there come here. I guess that's why no one tries any longer.
Sarcasm off.
Your view of the world doesn't appear to extend beyond your own nose.
Alfie, that has a ring of truth to it, which is why I find it odd that liberal/progressives/Democrats go to such lengths to protect their cheap, illegal labor source/work force. It seems slave labor/indentured servitude is still their thing.
I like this guy. He tells it like it is. It's interesting that after a lifetime as a gifted economist, educator, lecturer, and author...if he had to do it all over he'd have been a photographer. Nobody listens to economists. It has to be the most frustrating of professions.
Since CNN is officially now the propaganda arm of the Clinton campaign. .... still, the fact that Alfau is parroting it is expected.
The "America's Fault" mantra of the Democrat Party ( and the Communist Party, hard to see any difference today ) is Alfau's wet dream. False, exciting, relieves the reader of any responsibility for his own actions.
Why should he work when the boogeyman is responsible for all his woes? Why accept responsibility for your own fate when blaming Trump is easier and requires no effort?
The most hilarious thing, for a lover of irony, is the people who accuse Trump & America of being racist are the Party of white only bathrooms and water fountains. The same party that went to war to keep slaves now accuses anybody and everybody else of being evil warmongering racists.
The same folk today accuse the Founding fathers of greed and promoting slavery when their own words prove otherwise.
It's the perfect storm of historical evil. The Confederate slave owning, Klan lynching, Jim Crow pushing, racist liars meet the Socialist pathological dishonesty of the Alinsky version of International Communism.
The 1984 world of rewritten history, programmed Hate minutes and language corruption meets Star Trek's The Red Hour, and casual acceptance of riots, rape, and looting. Goldstein is now Trump. "We've always been at war with Russia, Islamofascists have always been our friends". Hillary should have won because she bad more likes on Facebook.
But I do believe Alfau has a good point even as he parrots the lies. Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, Google, all are the products of imperfect, flawed, massively rich, and possibly evil individual rich men who don't have your best interests at heart. Especially when they say they do. No wonder they all supported Hillary.
It's funny when a party of shameless race hustlers that are exploiting every type of minority and grievance group possible for political gain and power is calling the other side out.
You can't blame "violent rhetoric" (A.K.A. the truth) for actual physical violence and acts of aggression. Insane.
While I'm ranting, I don't think liberal arts degrees or any of the activist studies (A.K.A. "social[ist] sciences") should qualify as any form of valid education. I have friends that are going/have gone to college recently and their stories are priceless, and scary. They are breeding willing statists and future monsters.
While at home in the United States, President Trump rails against Islamic extremism. In Indonesia, he has formed political alliances with politicians aligned with Islamist forces.
If I was looking to graduate from the Chicago Gulag, I would baldly state my life intention was to prosecute the Mayor for crimes against humanity by any means necessary.
I have a fall back position guaranteed to make them more insanely furious.
Biased editorial that claims the Democrats have lost rational credibility, just because the call for the murder of American Citizens, and historically, have in fact, murdered thousands of them through their official political action arm, the Klan.
Oh and the lies. Shouldn't forget Alinsky's Rules. Lie. Personalize the hate and lie about the person. Lie more.
Since when? Has the Klan Not been the official endorsed action arm of the Democrat Party? They buried a high Klan Senator just a while ago. Bill Clinton spoke lovingly at his funeral. When challenged for praising the deceased Bill truthfully stated that if you wanted to win in the South you were Klan. ( Bill also cheerfully posed in front of Confederate flags )
The Klan is the root reason Dems hate the NRA. Who taught marksmanship and safety in Black Churches.
They are hiding statues of Democrat leaders of the past in an Orwellian attempt to propaganda away the history of the Party. Jefferson Davis was the great hero. Who founded the Klan?
The KKK has very little relevance these days, lynchings of blacks becoming unpopular and all. They are little more than a gotcha for the faux hysterics of the left. They need blacks for votes these days while simultaneously orchestrating and fostering their oppression in a self perpetuating cycle of support and failure. How many decades can people fall for that?
The left is now aligned with hard line Muslims, have hijacked Black Lives, corrupted feminism, and use the LGBTQ-I community as mascots.
This kind of thing should be mainstream. This is why they're against these immigration bans. It's a steady supply of hard leftists that hate America and everything it stands for.
I agree KKK is non relevant nowadays. I didn't know there were any active chapters of the sort here in Sacramento still until they got run off the capitol grounds by a vicious mob.
There will always be a-holes like the KKK. The will of course look for a political party to call home. That's only to be expected. It used to be the Democrat party, without question. When Blacks had no vote, it was profitable to align with the KKK. It didn't matter if they agreed with the KKK. They just did enough of their bidding to keep their vote. Give the blacks the vote and it starts getting more complicated. For a long time the KKK was a bigger voting block than the blacks, so it wasn't an immediate switch of alliances, but as the black community grew, and the KKK shrank, it became important to the Democrat party to go for the larger voting block. Not an easy thing to do in this case, considering that they have been on the wrong side of history with blacks for such a long time. It takes a lot of lying to cover up their crimes against the blacks. Fortunately for them, they pretty much own education and the press. That helps a lot in telling those big lies.
Don't for a second believe that the care about the blacks any more than the KKK that they now disavow. It's simply a segment of voters that they try to play, rather than treating the country as a whole. They will drop any segment, just as quickly, when ever they see a stronger potential voting block. If you are paying attention you see the transition now as they try to con the Hispanics that they are on there side. Does anyone really think that flooding the lower end of the job market with cheap illegal workers helps the Black community? Or any one else? It gets tricky when you pit various minority groups against each other. The Democrats have turned that into an art form. It's a poor way to do what's right for the whole though. If it's not good for the whole, it's probably not good for all the segments that make up the whole. The best you can do is make it less bad for your latest favorite group, while hoping last years favorite doesn't notice too much.
One of the things that has made America a great country is that we have been the worlds melting pot. The Democrat's strategy is to keep various groups feeling separated from the whole. Is that really the kind of country that you want to live in? That's a strategy that feeds on hatred.
