Today is June 21st. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, it's the Summer Solstice - the Longest Day of the year and the official start of Summer! I hope everybody has a magnificent day! (My sympathies go out to my friends and family in Australia, where it's the Winter Solstice and the shortest day of the year. Next December 21st, though, you guys can laugh at us when the situation is reversed.) |

I had to laugh when I learned some local townsfolk first wanted Carhenge torn down because the land was not properly zoned for "junkyard." |

Sunset today was 9:33pm. Explains why drive-in theaters never caught on up here. |
