In the process of moving to Boone, NC Selling my house in New Jersey. All kinds of mixed emotions about not going back to work, but as they say, this is what we work all our careers for. At least I am going out on my own terms. I plan on participating in more BadWeb activities, for sure going to my third WV camp this summer. Bill G | ||

Congratulations, Bill! You're moving to a great area, especially for motorcycling. I retired in January. I'm still waiting on it to feel like I'm retired. We moved about 60 miles to the house I grew up in and it's been nearly a full-time job setting up things in the "new" house and getting the old house ready to sell. Hopefully I'll be really retired in about 3 weeks! BTW- come on over to BITA 7 in Little Switzerland next month. Now when someone asks you what day it is, you can respond with, "Every day is Saturday to me". I pulled the plug at age 60 back in 2012. Sold the house in Calif and moved to the old northwest and haven't looked back. Even turned down some serious money consulting - I'm done! You can do what you want whenever you want to do it. Thanks for all the encouragement. I'll plan on getting to BITA, sounds like a good summer experience. We've owned the place in Boone (Todd, actually) for several years, I just couldn't 'pull the trigger' and retire. I knew I didn't want to be one of those guys who wait until money is all they have left. I would rather worry about money than my health. See you all, around the country in the next few years.
