OK friends, another wickedly random question... Anyone have knowledge and willing to help me with a PIC MCU project? As you probably know, I have my little miniGP race bike and I'm working it over to be the best it can be. To this goal, the ignition needs to be upgraded to something that can be programmed and I tracked down the only thing I've found here:
http://www.sportdevices.com/ignition/ignition.htm

Schematics and code are provided and it seemed to work when they tested it. I may need help with the code aspects of this.

The bike seems to have a raised ridge and HALL sensor for pickup, like what they have pictured, also has a 12 volt system and appears to be a stock TCI ignition. Need to map out the timing of the ridge and check the voltages on the sensor to see what's happening. I'd build the optional tacho output so that I could drive a multi segment progressive shift light, don't really need the dial tach once the shift light works.

I assume this project will be for my own use only. I can create the circuit board and have those made, and solder the components. Probably surface mount with programming pads for pogo pins.

As far as features, needs about a 10,000 rpm limit. And I'm thinking aggressive and soft maps since it seems to support two maps. Basically dry/warm track and wet/cold track maps. Would like to morph this into something that can be more easily changed than having to compile the code for each curve and maximum advance (least delay), but I'll start with a crawl and use someone else's design and code.

Anyone willing to help with this?
