That book had quite an impression on many, many Dad's and son's (daughters too). |

Oh wow. I read it twice, and his sequel, "Lila" twice. In "Lila", he swaps the motorcycle for a sailboat on the east coast, meets a woman... also a great book. "Zen" was hard, but fun to read. I've had a love and drive for Quality all my life thanks to Mr. Pirsig. Not to mention motorcycles... I'm still a very limited mechanic. Tried to drive a finish nail today, weird angle, failed. I got a toolbox from my dad that had countless bent nails, so I guess I inherited that quality. |

RIP Mr. Robert Pirsig, you changed my life. "Zen" and "Rocky Mtn High" sent me out as a Colorado biker... I always think of this book when I ride past a wetlands with the Redwings singing. Ahhh the 70s |

The illustration of focused, coherent, productive thought while riding a motorcycle still amazes me. If it's math, I can do it. If it's anything else, not so much. Philosophizing coherently is a lot more difficult than most people imagine, I think. |

>>>If it's math, I can do it. That's an understatement. I still get amazed thinking about some of the projects you've been involved with and the places your talent has taken you, with the possible exception of the stint in NJ. :-) |
