I just found out that Kevin Kemen passed away on Tuesday. I don't know any details on what happened but I believe he was only 49. I first met Kevin about 13 years ago when I rode my M2 Cyclone into Lake Shore Harley Davidson Buell in Libertyville. He was not only a salesman there, he was an avid Buell rider also and owned a 97 M2 Cyclone much like my 98. He moved to Illinois because of his wife's work because prior to moving here he worked at the Buell Motorcycle Company in East Troy in the R&D department. He was very close with Erik and had Erik visits the Lake Shore dealership for some motorcycle events that he helped get sponsored there. He started the BRAG chapter at Lakeshore where I was a member of. He annually went to to Buell events, races, track events, homecoming, and trips to Sturgis. His knowledge on Buell motorcycles was as good as anyone I know and just like Erik he would talk motorcycles all day and night! He switched jobs and started driving a truck for a living, then moved back to Dubuque Iowa to live so I hadn't been in touch much lately but did see his posts on Facebook. He really seemed to be enjoying life and all the sudden I hear he has crossed over the bridge! RIP Kevin! You'll be missed! |

I did not know him, but having been to a couple Buell homecomings I would bet I had met him. No doubt he was a good guy with the company he kept. Sorry to hear of his passing. RIP Kevin. |

RIP Kevin. It is always sad and sobering to learn of another Bueller's passing. |

That is way to young... I just looked at his facebook page and it looks like we would have gotten along like peas and carrots. Anybody that dress up like Sid Haig/Captain Spaulding would have been pretty cool in my book. |

This dying crap has gotta ease up on us this week, for f*** sake... My condolences, friend. I'm the SAME age as the guy. DANG. If my pegs go down any further, they'll be kickstands. |

Didn't know him, but loved the Obit. Sounds like a great guy. "“Live in such a way that if someone spoke badly about you, no one would believe it.”" I particularly love this statement. |
