I just checked the weather. It will be a chilly ride, but it should be dry all day. How about meeting for brunch, somewhere around 11:00? It's about a 2 1/2 hour ride for me (according to Google), though it should be a shorter distance for the folks closer to New York City. (Message edited by Crusty on March 21, 2017) | ||

If anyone has been to Toymakers from this forum it would be Jaime. We're all running on speculation. Though, if Jaime says it's good, I believe him. Are you going to ride the SX to show it off? I wonder who else will be there? | ||

I have a concert that evening so I'm not sure if my wife will enjoy me going out and riding all day then leaving all night to go to a show. I'll see though. It's a 3 hour ride for me to ToyMakers. How about HooDoo Browns or the Dinosaur in Stamford? Not saying that I'll make either of those places but just throwing it out there. | ||

Well; V1203 said he could do Toymakers, so I figured "lets!". How about we do BBQ in a month or so? By then, I'll have digested the food from Smokin' Jim's at Glitch Badness, and I'll be ready to take on more. Court has located some more good BBQ in the Hudson Valley, so we could even try a new place there; or we could meet at one of the previous places like the Dinosaur or HooDoo Browns or Big W's or the burger joint above New Haven. I like good food, but it's the company that I'm interested in. Hell, a meal at McDonalds in the company of friends beats a solo dinner in a gourmet restaurant by a mile IMO. | ||

May or may not be able to make Toymaker's on Saturday but I'll keep it in mind. I've had lunch there three times, always tasted good. If not I'll be looking out for the BBQ run. | ||

My wife just informed me I have a baby shower Saturday which I didnt know of. If you guys are still on then I will see you on the next. If the following weekend is available I can make it.  | ||

Yes; We're on for 11:30 this Saturday at Toymaker's. Shaun (and everybody else who can't make it) we'll hopefully see everybody at the next gig. I think the next Meet&Eat should be at Court's "Top Secret Hideaway" (not to be confused with Hernando's Hideaway) We'll just have to remind him to tell us where it is, sometime. | ||

Aw; you don't have to bring a date to a Meet&Eat! You can, of course, if you want to; but it's not necessary. Many of us will be arriving solo. However, we're an inclusive bunch and anybody is welcome to join us. | ||

About a two and a half hour trip via the "Direct Route" for me. Should be "do-able" Saturday unless the wife comes up with something that absolutely-positively MUST be done in the morning... | ||

Yeah; and they're calling for cold rain in the afternoon, too. Damnut, Griffmeister, V1203, Froggy and possibly Jaime all have other commitments. Maybe we should put this off for a few weeks? | ||

We're just trying to schedule it around your schedule, Crusty. Want to be able to do this before you skip town. I don't currently HAVE a commitment for Saturday morning, by the way. At least, not that I know of... | ||

I was going to say that my schedule is open, but I'm going to Glitch Badness this week. I'll be back in a week and a half or so after that. I'm heading for Cincinnati to visit my brother. Even if an offer on a house is accepted, it'll take a month or more before I'll be moving. We'll have plenty of time for at least one more Northeast Gathering. There's no need to make an extra effort on my behalf. | ||

That's good, because now I see the prediction for rain on Saturday, though it'll still be in the 60s down here at least. I need a break from all this COLD!! I couldn't even escape the cold in Florida for Pete's sake!! |
