Did any of you parts hoarders who bought out HD and then American Sport Bike supplies of their G0500.1AKF Uly drive belts, who then sold their Uly motorcycles and have a belt left.....have one for sale? Inquiring mind cannot help but ask! |

If you are in a bind, I think I have a used belt with about 25,000 miles on it. It would be better than no belt at all. Came of my XB12Ss. Should fit a Uly. |

I appreciate that, I will keep it in mind, thank you. I know of some guys who had bought belts for spares then sold the bikes long ago. I am hoping there may be one out there where it is hanging in their garage with no bike to put it on. I have a 33,000 eleven year old original that I could put back on, but it is a spare because.....it is a spare. |

I checked with a few guys I know who had Ulys that they sold over the past four years or so. Two of them had new spare belts that they gave to the new owners of their former bikes in their deals to help sell them. |

I've got the one I took off my 2010 XT with 15k. Everyone started breaking belts so I got a new one and put it on during a tire change and saved the old one for a spare. I was going to get another Uly one day but ended up with a Stelvio instead. |

I'm curious too if they are still available from the stealerships. I ordered one last August and got it no problem. The front isolator I ordered at the same time just came in this month though. Thinking back, when the bike was still under warranty, I did wait about 2 months for a new fan. |

I checked the local dealerships. Discontinued. As in no longer available to them, and they reached out through their dealer network to find the same. So I figured if someone has a new one sitting around to get old before it gets used, a fellow Badwebber might be a good source. I checked Crusty's source above they show to have it. Joe if it is a brand new belt with it's stickers and packaging I would pay full price from someone who was good enough to stock it for me, if that is what is to be. Might be able to barter or trade, but that is not my point. I have purchased some stuff that people were glad to have it out of their way when it was no longer needed. I rather help a Badwebber than a retailer if I can. I prefer a new one. But on that note, Byrdock I sent you a PM. If you have one you are feeling like you are going to be stuck with, PM me. |

Had no idea they discontinued it, hence my question. Didn't mean to imply you're the cheap bastard that you are...and of course you know I don't think you're a cheap bastard to begin with! Lance - if you read this, chime in? Have they discontinued the belt? |

Joe, ya got me! Lately though, being called a cheap bastard does beat the previous dumb bastard badge! To be PC.....economically un-enhanced.....would be a proper fit. Thanks Jim. Their idea of discontinuance is likely that they probably have to buy a bulk number from the manufacturer to get any. Since they are seemingly glad that Buell is gone, well, you know! |

And so it goes... Did you check with Lance @ St. Paul H/D to see if he has or can order a belt? The front motor mount, as mentioned above, was on back order but is now available. H/D had to switch vendors to have new mounts made, but they did... |

Why they are not idiots! They are simple hard core Harley guys! Let's get the terminology correct, they are Buell hating stupid idiots! Thanks for the link to Lance. I knew I had seen a thread around here on the subject. I will get back to him if no Badwebber needs to liquidate one. Now back to our regular story.....anyone got a new one lying around that they don't want anymore? |

The G0500.8 belt is the only one the part that will crossover to an HD sportster belt. You cant bend HD backwards or you will crack / brake the carbon fiber face on the belt. The front motor mount is still on back order. Yes we did get some in but we still have 30+ on back order. The good news is the XB12 header started to show up today after a 5-6 months of back orders. |

Yes the specs on the belt listed in the above link are correct for a Ulysses. But, the question is, whether it can be bent backwards (over the idler wheel) without causing a problem. Price is right, but only if it lasts more than a few thousand miles... |

Thanks Lance and everyone, guess I've been spoiled by my Tuber's easy parts availability. Reminds me that I should buy a spare front motor mount when stocks are replenished. |

You can bend the bdl belts backwards. I have a 130T carbon belt on my xb9. I've been using it for 3 years with no problems. |
