Matthew, as you said there are some great driving roads coming through Arkansas to my place. I recommend taking 62 from Rodgers through Eureka Springs, it's full of twisty roads, especially the closer you get to Eureka. Eureka also makes a great place to stop for a meal, it's a tourist town in the heart of the Ozark's. From there it's on to Harrison, then Mountain Home, and on into Sharp County. I live in Highland, which is on 62/412 between Ash Flat and Hardy. I live on a dirt/gravel road about 1/3 mile off the pavement. My place is an old one, with only one bathroom, but your room will be clean, comfortable, and has its own entrance off the carport. Sorry I didn't post this before today. I've been dealing with the flu since Saturday. |

For some reason the spammers are always riding EBR era M2's! |

I am a whiskey drinker. Bourbons are always good, but so are Irish and Scotch. Canadian follows that. Jack Daniels is never a bad thing. I guess my point is I'm easy to please. If you have something that's a local specialty, then I am always glad to try those things as well. I've had a few tonight already, and I'm rambling. |

Cool deal. No local specialty stuff, but I'll get you covered. Have a good night, and one for me while you are at it! (Message edited by whisperstealth on February 08, 2017) |

I take that back, there are some Ozark distilleries. They are all in Missouri, but I'll see if I can get some bourbon from one of them. |

I'm creating a new section of my spreadsheet to calculate departure and arrival times to my various destinations. I'll post my results later today, apparently I'm supposed to be working right now, rather than daydreaming about roadtrips. |

OK... I couldn't resist... these times are tentative, and the average speeds are lowball numbers, so the arrivals may be sooner. I'll be posting a Glympse link so ya'll won't be waiting around for me, you'll know right where I am all the time. Prospective Itnerary:

A few hours with the top down on a sunny day, Mirrored glasses will burn the tar out of your nose. Found out the hard way. |

Ahh... well then I will leave the mirrored glasses at home. I have a very dark tint strip across the top of the windshield, so I rarely wear sunglasses any more. I do appreciate that tip, though... because I have mirrored shades in my glove department. |

So my left grip came loose and the original epoxy I used is long gone so I cleaned up the bars and grip and used 3 drops of super glue. The epoxy lasted 12 years, now we'll see how long super glue will hold! This is not a hijack but merely a bump with some info a few will possibly find humorous! |

It actually still is, or at least it was when I dropped the bike off at the dealer recently. It is getting some bling in addition to a replacement starter.

Very NICE! Really glad you're getting a new starter! I can't believe it was still working. I do wish I was there to see them put those two front screws in the fan housing! What a PITA! |

Hey there, As a former owner of 2 MR2 Spyders Absolutely Red 2003, I would like to offer you some items I found : One is a metal key chain with the Jspec badge and also Mongo's Side Air Deflectors all from the great guys from spyderchat.com. The side air deflectors get installed in the window and can be kept there without any interference from the window. They are effective in keeping air from swirling in to the cabin when the top is down Let me know if you would like them as a gift in preparation for your trip. |

In other news, I spent the better part of the afternoon today installing my dual band radio installed in the spyder. I tell you what, getting an antenna wire through the firewall in this car is an experience all unto itself. Next weekend, I need to find space for another one, so I can get the CB radio in there as well. I've ordered a power distribution block with two 12 volt plugs, two 2.1 amp USB ports, and a volt meter to go at the bottom of my center console. I need to find another antenna for my CB because the last mag mount I had left a discolored circle on my paint which just won't buff out. I will be logging radio contacts all along my route, it's something I've always done on long trips to stay awake instead of filling myself with artificial stimulants. 1928.47 hours until I leave. |
