The snow is really coming down outside. If the roads aren't clear by Sunday, I may have to do the "unthinkable" and trailer down. I'll leave the K1200LT and take the C650GT though. It's easier to get on and off the trailer and seriously... if I'm going to trailer down I don't need an 850 lbs luxury touring bike to ride once I'm there. | ||

Well how about that? Snows done, and it only stuck on the grass and cars... the roads are already clear and dry. Looks like I can keep my perfect record of NOT trailering down to Bike Week... | ||

If it helps, the local weather in E TN was calling for up to 2-3" overnite last night- we got a whole lotta nuthin'. Watching the radars around the state, it did look like other areas of the Southeast were getting hit, so YMMV. Have fun, post pics! | ||

I was going to scoot over today, but it is raining on and off. No thank you. Riding in the rain quit being fun a long time ago. Besides, they roll the sidewalks up after 3 drops in a 10 foot circle. Maybe this coming Saturday. If it's not raining. | ||

Yea its overcast and chilly by Florida standards over here and I have seen maybe a half dozen bike go by so far. My office is literally a mile from the Destination Daytona Debacle.' When they shut the intersections down they make all the traffic turn around in front of my office window. | ||

Enjoy the festivities, all. Last time I was down, we camped on the infield. I think it was 34 degrees overnight a couple nights. Vern and I kept getting up, putting on our Gerbings, starting our bikes to warm ourselves up for a few minutes...then back in the tents and bags till we got cold again. Thanks to that trip, I now own a nice 10 degree mummy bag that fits in a compression sack  | ||

For those who don't follow me on Facebook... the ride down was chilly but clear and dry up until I hit the Florida border. Although the temperatures FINALLY started to climb, I did hit rain showers all the way to my resort in Orlando. Today started out overcast and chilly but the clouds finally parted and it actually reached the low seventies today. Looks like the rest of the week will be just fine, but I'm a little concerned over the weekend forecast back home... | ||

I took the week off and spent most of it finishing a bathroom remodel just in time for house refi appraisal on Thursday. I rode over by myself on Friday afternoon and again all day Saturday. Did not seem quite as busy as last year? I decided to buy the ex out and stay in FL a few more years so hopefully get to meet a few of you next year. |
