I'd personally, say that making a physical test carry too much weight in selecting a soldier... It depends on MOS/job description. Mechanics and IT nerds don't need to be able to haul themselves plus 70 pounds of kit plus a crate of ammo up a mountain in hostile territory. Which is a probable, if not routine task for an infantry soldier downrange. Can women do that? Some of them. But not most; the percentages are going to be different. (EDIT: I use "nerd" as a term of endearment, don't get your panties in a twist over it) Anyway, what I was saying earlier, is that I disagree that men are all talk and women are all action. There's another good generalization that I've observed. Most folks in IT or commo are self-proclaimed nerds. Ask them what they do for a living, half the time they'll just say, "i'm a nerd". | ||

OK, I am a Nerd. Have been for many decades. I design and build custom computer systems (very small to extremely large) and help customers decide what they need (not just what they want). However, I am a Nerd that can communicate with other non-nerd type folks and that has given me some pretty cool opportunities. | ||

Like if a Vice President goes to see Hamilton they think it¡¦s a classy move to curse so loudly and out of control during songs they perceive apply to the administration they will encourage you to do so long enough to stop the performance¡Xmultiple times. And if you can¡¦t get a ticket because they¡¦re being sold for that old fashioned capitalistic idea of a profit, just wait outside and chant for him to f-himself as he leaves. The politically correct way to raise a child, according to therapists, doctors, and psychologists that I've dealt with, is to ignore bad behavior because addressing bad behaviour is just giving them attention. Instead, you're supposed to reward them when they stop kicking and screaming and hitting. In other words, if you want milk and cookies, all you have to do is kick and scream and hit until someone says they'll give you cookies if you stop. My parents just beat my butt. | ||

I've heard of a bunch of back-pedaling...but I don't think any of them actually followed through with their "threats". Shame, really.
