>>>I remember a discussion here some time ago where it was stated someone had to be convicted of a crime before they could be pardoned.

Intuitive, but inaccurate.

Ford pardoned Nixon . . . who resigned . . "for any acts while he was in offer".

We've bigger fish to fry.

Agree. Time to move on.
I'm cautiously optimistic at this point.

Climate Change, Racism, Sexism, Ialamophobia, all are the daily mantra of the left.

Divide and conquer.

And, yes, he really believes that stuff. He's been told it every day, multiple time a day, and if he watches Lefty talk tv, and he does, he gets the message that Donald will burnt the skies and rape the land and drink all the water, leaving none for others.

They really believe it. No one is allowed to point out that they've been lied to for years. MSNBC sure isn't going to tell them.

Is Trump a sexist pig? Sure! Seems like a jerk to me. Now Bill Clinton, There's a MAN. Charming, has a special bible with an extra big cross on the cover to carry into church whenever the news starts taking about his sex crimes and offenses. ( having sex with people that work for you can be a problem... but not for Bill. He's got the Big Cross Bible. )

The naked truth is that the only 2 reasons Trump got the nomination, and won the election, is that the GOP establishment is hated by it's members for breaking promises, and he ran against Hillary Clinton, one of the least charming monsters on the planet.

Bernie fans are saying that Bernie would have beat Donald. Maybe. I doubt that but sure.

I got my baseline wish. Not Hillary.

Now I can spend the rest of the next few years bitching about Donald.

And I will. But only true things about his actions. I'll let others complain about his character.

...and if his actions are done - as promised during the campaign - for the greater good?

I don't give a rat's ass about his perceived character. Doing what you say you'll do is all the character I need in a leader.

Don't worry, there's a strapping young "progressive" muslim who they're grooming to be the next antichrist.

http://www.latimes.com/nation/politics/trailguide/ la-na-updates-trail-guide-is-a-muslim-from-the-mid west-set-to-1478901281-htmlstory.html

Yep, a felon mob boss was their first choice, but that didn't work out, so now they're turning to a muslim. Because the first muslim we elected as president did so much to help us out and stop the spread of violent islamism.

We as a nation need to stop the spread of islam in our government. It's already got a foothold; it may be too late.

I was pondering the whole "white male" thing while I was out loading my truck for a show tonight. Thinking about how they're all up in arms that "the dominant while male took everything away from them" by voting Trump and winning the election.

As if it were an attack.

Somebody needs to point out that the "dominant white male" wasn't "in power" for the last eight years.

IT DIDN'T WORK.

Like a quota...they think gender / race qualify a person for a job in place of skills and abilities.

Am I saying every woman/liberal/muslim/black/minority is unfit to rule? Absolutely not.

What I AM saying is...your rule didn't work for the last 8 years. People are sick of it. So...we voted in someone DIFFERENT. Now, it's his turn to try. If he gets it right...there will likely be more of the same in 4 years. If he gets it wrong...things will probably change again.

Kinda how the system works (when there's not behind-the-scenes manipulation, that is...).

Then there is the not voting for a woman thing: Well, I don't have a problem with a woman leading a country. Margaret Thatcher was a good leader in my opinion. And she was not a man. Hillary wouldn't equal a hair on Margaret's big toe. Some of what Margaret said;

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.
There is no such thing as society: there are individual men and women, and there are families.
You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.
Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren't.
I am extraordinarily patient, provided I get my own way in the end.
If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman.
If you set out to be liked, you would be prepared to compromise on anything at any time, and you would achieve nothing.
Plan your work for today and every day, then work your plan.
Any woman who understands the problems of running a home will be nearer to understanding the problems of running a country.
No-one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions; he had money as well.

(thank you google)

I got the same thing eight years ago. It went like this. You don't think a black man should be President? I said a black man could make a good President. But, you got the wrong one.

Now if you want me to dislike a group of people, I will try not to. There is a reason the Presidency is with held from those under 35 years of age. Look at your college protesters.

If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman.

Generally speaking, I'm going to disagree with that one. In my experience, it is a common thing for the average woman to spend a whole lot of time and words saying not much of anything.

I expect I will be labeled a chauvinist for saying that, but that doesn't change my experience. There are men who do the same, but not as common.

I saw that as well. Hell, I don't think Al Gore even claimed global warming would kill anyone that quickly.

Even in the most pessimistic pro-climate change scenario, you wouldn't die unless you're staked down near a beach where rising water levels might eventually drown you.

Well at least they seem to be coming to grips with the fact that their party is so corrupt that it needs to be tossed in the trash bin.

Seething liberals vow revolution in Democratic Party

quote:

Liberals are seething over the election and talking about launching a Tea Party-style revolt. They say it’s the only way to keep Washington Democrats connected to the grassroots and to avoid a repeat of the 2016 electoral disaster, which blindsided party elites.

Both comments are correct. Generalizations are valid. The scientific method demands that you first observe and then form a hypothesis. There is nothing incorrect about pointing out, for example, that the black community has a high illegitimacy rate or that women tend to be more emotional than men due to their hormonal makeup. Are all blacks born out of wedlock? Are all women led by their emotions? The answer is, obviously, no.

Is it unfair, then, that female service members aren't required to pass the same physical fitness standards as men? Is that not "judging" that women tend to not be as strong as men tend to be? Is that not the same thing as saying that men are stronger than women?

I disagree. You can observe differences between different people. Observation doesn't make you racist, or sexist. Making generalizations doesn't make you racist or sexist, so long as you have a working understanding that generalizations are generalizations only.

Is it wrong to say that men typically respond more to visual stimulation whereas women are more responsive to emotional input? You can call that judgement if you want, but it's common knowledge.

There is a prevailing theory these days that men, and women, and blacks, and white, and asians and hispanics and arabs and cats and chickens are all the exact same thing. To the point of erasing history and lying about differences that should be not only talked about, but enjoyed for what they are.
I hate that. I will continue to think of men as men, and women as women, and Chinese as Chinese. I'm not as good at math as most of the Asian Americans I have known. That's not somehow racist, it's a fact. Equal representation does not mean deficit of differences.

I'd personally, say that making a physical test carry too much weight in selecting a soldier is like making a "math with no calculator" test carry too much weight in selecting an engineer. It tells you something, and if it's the best you have to work with it may be the test you use. But it's not exactly a precision munition.

http://gizmodo.com/facebook-has-thought-about-the- election-and-decided-it-1788923651

Full disclosure. I'm not a fan of Mr. Z. I don't do social media. I saw right off that a "service" to hook me up with my friends that didn't charge me was selling me.

Facebook was in fact a major player in the Progressive Propaganda Machine. Folk who pointed out that Hillary was an admitted Felon had their pages ransacked and accounts frozen. Folk who call for assassination and riots in the Holy Cause of Hillary do not.

Facebook may be an unavoidable part of modern life. That doesn't mean you should forget that the people that run the place sell your personal information to not just the highest bidder, but ALL the bidders.

Don't forget that the owners are politically active to keep being the richest jerks at your expense.
