Yanking the axles out of the f350 and dragging the XJ to him does seem oddly appealing... |

I'm excited to get these here and painted. I may, or may not, have a surprise in mind for your beadlocks. |

So this is not mine, it's a coworkers. I don't dig the "look at me" flare, but check out the rear lower control arm. He's got a cantilevered coilover, this is the first one I've seen in real life. Look at this beautiful axle housing (yes I think built axle housings are beautiful). He didn't want a trac bar so he went with a wishbone setup, which I don't understand. It's essentially a 3-link setup (the wishbone has 1 point of contact on each side of the axle, and one centered on the frame which I assume has to be a heim joint). It seems like you would still need a trac bar for that configuration. |

After just those two wheels, I feel like I did Arnie's famous shoulder workout. Get her the Willy's Wheeler! |

I thought height was an issue. The JK is probably worse than the WK. FJ! (http://www.toyotawestohio.com/used/Toyota/2011-Toy ota-FJ+Cruiser-148c427e0a0e0adf72d8a929c4ed5218.ht m) They use the same bolt pattern as the TJ, so we can swap the TPMS and put on some mudterrains for her. He'll be happy as a clam. |

Found some old pics today, I used to go crawling with my buddy who had a Rubicon TJ, his jeep was sweet. He had a longarm kit, thumb throttle, of course the selectable lockers were sweet. And some tuner software that added an unsafe amount of power (he was constantly burning up the trans). The rig behind his jeep there is my old pickup, a 1/2 ton Ram with a 6" lift on 37" SSRs (I loved those tires). It was nothing fancy but a sweet pickup. I used to be even skinnier than I am now. The Army fixed that (and my hair) |

Torquehd, I had a trailer like that until recently. The stub axle type, 12 ton. I converted it from a pintle hitch to a fifth wheel with an 8 foot upper deck. Worked out great for hauling the Jeep with a full size pick up on board to. Pulled that thing all over with a 550 series truck. Hated those independent electric brakes when it was empty though. |

Just a little advice... if the guy in front of you has 37" tires with lockers front and rear. If that guy has a hard time with the mud hole in front of you and you only have 33's... ya might wanna take the by-pass My good friend Doug didn't follow that advice..

Yep! buried up to its backside. It went down hill from there. The clutch would no longer disengage and the starter wouldn't engage. I had to tow him until we got to the top of a large hill so he could jam it into gear and start it. That fixed the starter but not the clutch. It was a hell of drive home! That was the first time he has had it out on the trails since he bought it from you. He has a few kinks to work out... |

"It went down hill from there." No, apparently it didn't. "He has a few kinks to work out..." Not a Jeepin' dude, but youn's sure are entertaining! Might go for a ride sometime, buy some gas and beer for shiznits and giggles. |

I love that first picture of Doug up to his windows in the puddy! BTDT! Looks like ya'll had a great time! We got a bunch of rain lately. Me and Jr. rode around 'Camp Swampy' this morning. It is looking Sooooo tempting to hop on in there! I would have to spend a day working on the Jeep before that could happen. Too much to do right now for that. |

For people who haven't done it that is what mudding looks like. That looks like it doesn't even smell too bad. The fun spots seem to be where when you finally get through and stopped, the goo just oozes out of your rims and drops off of the body in big plops. Thick and chewy! |
