https://pjmedia.com/election/2016/07/15/news-organ izations-bringing-war-zone-body-armor-to-rnc/ Hopefully not related to the Jihad thread. After a 4 year long election process, a felon getting anointed, & a Game Show Host winning a majority in defiance of The Party, we come to the Spectacle Of the Political Convention. What goes on inside the buildings in Philadelphia & Cleveland will certainly affect our future, but much of that will be invisible. What goes on OUTSIDE those buildings might change history. Remember the Terror of France? ( Not this week, The French Revolution ) Anyone watching Turkey? If I lived in a Convention City, I'd go on vacation. Far away. |

>>>I'd go on vacation. Far away. I'm in a defensive configuration in NYC with this "Night of Rage" rumor being bantered about. If I were in Cleveland . . . where both the New Black Panthers and the KKK have pledged to "exercise their 2nd Amendment Right" by arming themselves . . . . well, that could be a powder keg. |

I like how they spin it as "war zone" body armor. Just like a semiautomatic rifle is a "war zone" gun. I wonder how long it will be before some marxist politician wants to ban private citizens from having "war zone" "assault" body armor. If you're a high profile politician, media personality, whatever... I think wearing concealed soft armor in an open public setting makes a lot of sense. Considering the state of the world today. Which our Imam in Chief paints as a world of flowers, unicorns, and rainbow stew, but has done his best to turn on its head. He's winning, I hate to say. This really is "mars attacks". "We come in peace" they say, as they blast us to smitherenes. |

Reminds me of the Carlin as a news anchor joke, Police today fired over the heads of rioters...Killing 20 people on the second floor. I say lock the pansies and klancies in a room with popsicle sticks. When there is only one group left, don't unlock it, ever. |

Armed responsible black veterans, with experience killing racist assholes (German ones, but that's a detail), were what really allowed the civil rights progress in the deep south. I want blacks to be legally armed. Mobs scare me, nothing scales like stupid scales. Anyway, if any person of color who can legally possess a firearm in the US wants to learn to safely and responsibly handle a firearm, I'll be happy to teach them both on and off the range. No worries about getting killed by a gun in NYC Court. Nobody will shoot you, because carrying a weapon in NYC is illegal. So you are good. |

>>>>No worries about getting killed by a gun in NYC Court. Nobody will shoot you, because carrying a weapon in NYC is illegal. So you are good. Comforting, eh? NYC, like Chicago, seems to be proof of the concept . . .......The more restrictive the guns laws are the more likely bad people, knowing most of the population is a "federally mandated unarmed collection soft targets" are armed and know they likely face no resistance. I confess there are days I long for my native Kansas or Texas . . . come into a restaurant there, whip out a weapon and there is a very high probability that about 25% of the folks in the place are armed. . . you have a whole new paradigm. Even here in NYC it's been proven that the presence of a legally armed and trained person can halt a crime spree in an instant.
quote:A 75-year-old woman was shot in the Bronx Friday night when she was caught in the crossfire between two gangs, police said. Authorities say the victim, who was not either group’s intended target, was hit in the right thigh around 7:45 p.m. as she walked home through Basil Behagen playground in Morrisania. Nobody else appears to have been shot during the fight, according to police. Emergency responders rushed her to Lincoln Hospital, where she remains in stable condition. The cause of the dispute is unknown, and cops have not yet made any arrests.

Being from a city where some of this is going down and knowing several police officers they are on edge not knowing who what or when someone might attempt to take their life and this is way above the normal worry they have. We have cops in rural towns having you step out of the vehicle and kneel just to tell you you tail lights out. I for one have no issues with giving them every ounce they need to feel secure. The nees and stupid politicians like our gov have empowered people who are looking for a fight not a solution!!!! |

I remember several years back playing a bar in northern North Dakota. Looked out on the dance floor and nearly every guy had a side arm and a large bowie knive! There was no yelling or arguing in that bar that night and we played every request wether we knew it or not happily!!!!!! |

Let's hope THOSE people burn the American Flag while proudly waving the Mexican One on national TV during the nomination of future President Elect Donald Trump. Matt, get off yer ass and support Trump dammit. He just ain't that bad, especially with Pence waiting at the helm. Great choice by the Donald. (Message edited by reindog on July 16, 2016) |

A majority of the people I associate with in Georgia are carrying guns at all times. You wouldn't know it unless they told you about it. Hell, my 19 year old daughter's 22 year old boyfriend carries concealed at all times. In the city of Kennesaw, you must own guns before you can buy a house. Honestly, these facts are comforting to me. I don't like Trump or Pence. Trump doesn't like Pence either. He should have picked Newt, he might have gotten my vote had he done so. Poor choices have consequences. Kind of like robbing a house in Kennesaw. Oh, wait... that almost never happens. I wonder why? |

http://www.breitbart.com/california/2016/07/20/the -daily-show-gays-for-trump-breitbart-news/ I don't really care if you care about "gay rights". I'm for equal rights across the board. No one should get a free pass... Hillary. No one should be beat up by morons because they are different. If a guy kills cops, or gays, or blondes and has twitted/Facespaced...whatever that he hates cops/gays/blondes and want to kill them all, it's a hate crime. Klansmen, Gay haters, Women Haters, Christian haters... I don't care, you all suck. I'm not any of the above, but if one Citizen of MY nation is being picked on unfairly, I want it stopped. If evil men can divide us and make it ok to oppress ANYONE... they can oppress anyone. And history says they always do. The most hopeful thing I've seen in years is the Gays for Trump. If ANY of the lefts minions can wake up and smell the rot, then ANY can. See the vid.."Milo Brings Down The House At Gays For Trump Party In Cleveland" imbedded in my above link. You may be offended. You may not like the language, you may not like Milo. I don't get all the jokes either. But the possibility that the artistic/theater/hollywood talent pool could see that they have been lied to and exploited by the Left, the Party of the Klan, then others may see the light too. There is Hope. He may be wearing a rainbow UZI on his shirt and tell very funny racist jokes, but there is Hope. |

http://dailycaller.com/2016/07/20/fancypants-colle ge-in-cleveland-offers-safe-space-for-students-tra umatized-by-republican-convention/ I would love to have the time & money to go offer the college's LGBETC community a free lecture from "an outstanding gay political commentator"... and bring Milo. Probably because I am a sick individual who sadistically likes to see adults so self absorbed they cry when someone, somewhere, said something that might offend them, lose their fragile little minds at the thought of a Conservative gay. Who can make funny sex jokes. ( although I still don't get that one about..... I better not. Someone here might get it and explain it to me. ) |

Gays didn't start becoming Republicans until they had income worth protecting from taxes. After sodomy laws were abolished in CA in 1975, gays could finally get real jobs and jobs with licenses because moral turpitude was a requirement of the licenses. Once gays started earning serious money some wanted to keep as much of it as possible and so they started the Log Cabin Republicans in the late 1970s. They had an interesting role in the Briggs initiative here in CA, and an interesting role in Larry "Wide Stance" Craig's political demise. 40 years later, Trump's lack of gay bashing struck LGBTs as a weird anomaly that would eventually correct itself, especially considering his xenophobic language against Mexicans and Muslims early in his campaign. Trump's support of Caitlyn Jenner, another lifetime Republican, was interesting as was Trump's daughter's comments at the convention. However, I think most LGBT consider this "common pandering." I think the more politically savvy gays have noticed Trump caving in to possibly larger partywide concerns about getting the Republican vote out with the traditional wedge issues and Trump has recently supported segregated bathrooms in NC and repealing marriage equality. I'm all for challenging preconceived notions for everyone myself included but I'm not yet convinced that Trump can effectively open the Republican party to gays. He may not hate gays, but his voters just might. |

I'm all for treating everyone equally within the law. The overly P.C. bull of having special people in their special groups with special treatment goes beyond equal and into unreasonably accommodated. My .02. |

The word "special" can be used in several ways with opposite meanings. I think the transgender public bathroom law in NC sounds like it makes sense but actually doesn't when you consider the how the bathrooms are built and how often straight families use sexed public bathrooms. |

I'm astonished at the lack of serious disruption at the RNC. The revolution was indoors and poorly reported. My mother scoffs there was a police officer for every protester. I look forward to see the levels of security around the walls the D's put around their temple to power. ( but not on our borders ) It would be childishly wrong of me to cheer rioting in Philadelphia. It sure looks like my predictions of a repeat of 1968 were wrong in Cleveland. Unlike some.... I can occasionally, with great reluctance, and not a little ego bruising, admit when I'm wro... wr..... wron...... mistaken. Edited to correct a grammar error. http://www.theamericanmirror.com/dnc-erects-four-m ile-fence-around-philly-convention-site/ Debbie STDtest "no really, a cousin told me when I was 6 that we were related to Geronimo, when we were playing Noble Native Americans vs. Meat Herding Savages." has been promoted out of controversies way. Bernie is showing either far more class, or far less morals, than Ted Cruz. ( take your pick ) The Coronation is going on no matter who Hillary has to have killed. In secret. Of course, she could machine gun people in Times Square on youtube and the news wouldn't mention it... so I guess that's secret. I used to think I was cynical. Now I see I was optimistic. |
