Crusty are you still in Cincinnati? I'm seeing if I can just load my trailer and come get you. It's a 13 hour drive from my house to Cincy. |

Better yet . . . rent a small u-haul trailer for the bike and we could do a "Crusty relay". I've got a hitch rated at 3,500# and can do a leg . . . If we could find about 5 folks along the route . . . we'd just play a game of "Pass the Crusty". I'd suggest each of us who drives a leg toss in a small stipend to offset the cost of the trailer (about $130 from Cincinnati to Boston) . . . Could work . . . . and doesn't give anyone a headache. |

Have truck with hitch, I could do a leg from Columbus to Canton, Ohio area. BUT, I am tied up with teaching a motorcycle safety class this weekend and next. I'd have to do it on a weekday. |

Do I hear a Cincinatti to Columbus? How about a Canton to somewhere in PA? |

I'll take the last leg into Massachusetts if needed. I'll come grab him in PA, NJ, NY or anywhere else in a 7 hour drive of Mass. |

We're going to need a trip coordinator to act as "Crusty Control". I'm too old for this . . . but one of the things that was pretty much unspoken when we started Badweb was that we don't leave each other stranded. We've got one ugly guy and a motorbike to get from OH to Boston . . . a walk in the park. |

I'm in NYC and would be pleased to take the leg from mid-PA to Danbury. During the week works better for me and I can over night the Crusty one on the way so we could break the Mid-PA to Danbury into 2 days . . . .I'm not working now (at least very hard) and have a pretty flexible schedule. Be mindful . . . that a commitment to transport this guy commits you to keep him loaded with BBQ as well . . . |

John- of all strange things, there are TWO Honda PC800's for sale locally to me (Knoxville/Maryville) for very good $$$... I owned a first year bike, in Pearl White, and LOVED it. They're very collectible now, and I'd take one over a Kaw Connie any day. Pacific Coasts were called "Tupperware" bikes, but they were ahead of their time. 800cc V-twin, and they handle surprisingly well through Deal's Gap... Keep us posted, as I'm sure you will, friend! |

Be mindful . . . that a commitment to transport this guy commits you to keep him loaded with BBQ as well . . Why do you think I want to go to Canton. I just supplied a "Mission BBQ" there and figured we could give it a test taste... I still think the best bet would be to pick up a motor from Pinwall and swap it out. Just my 2 cents... |

I'm flying out to California next Wednesday so it needs to happen before that if I'm going to get involved. I can take Danbury to his home base. Now to fill in between the lines. |

Holy smoke! I go away for a while and look what happens! I'm going to be honest here; I don't know what to say. I can certainly use the help, but I feel kind of funny accepting it. If you guys can coordinate a relay to get me and the dead Roadster back to Massachusetts, I'd really appreciate it. But it seems like a lot of effort just to get a tramp home. Even if it doesn't pull together, I really appreciate the effort everybody has put into the idea. I told my brother what you guys were trying to do, and he's totally amazed that a group of people on a forum would go to this much effort to help each other out. There is no place like Badweb, and it proves that Buell and EBR enthusiasts are truly "Different in Every Sense" |

just to get a tramp home Are you kidding me? Bottom line is we all love you. I pray to God every day for your safety, and I anticipate your snippets. I don't have a way to help out first hand right now, but if we need to get some money up to move this train, you can bet I'm there chipping in without a second thought. I know many here feel the exact same way. John, you're a good friend to us all, each of us in different ways. Now, let's build this bridge people! |

I told my brother what you guys were trying to do, and he's totally amazed that a group of people on a forum would go to this much effort to help each other out. Yeah, certain parts of the internet are used for good, and it amazes the uninitiated. There is no place like Badweb Say that three times while clicking them ruby slippers, and you'll be home in no time. If that don't work, help will be headed your way. Good luck Crusty, and we have your back |

I could have a "Sick" day this Friday. Swoop south in the AM and moto are butts to State College. I have to be home Friday night so I can get some shut eye before class on Saturday morning. MR.Polay, what say you. You are the next leg |

Mark, you woudn't have to come this far, unless you want to! Bedford maybe? Clem"s is no more at the moment, but there are other options. I could get Crusty and bike up to Scranton area, maybe one of the Hudson crew for the next leg? This could turn out to be fun |

Wow, I took a few days off from reading Crusty's snippets and look what happens. I can make the Cinci to PA run but I'm covered Friday thru Sunday so it would have to be tomorrow or next week. Actually, if it can wait until Monday I'd be honored to help. |

If we can get Scranton to NY or to the Dinosaur in CT then I can take him the rest of the way. If not I can go to Scranton. Is he going to rent a trailer or are we taking care of that too. I can bring my trailer for the handoff if we want to bring our own. |

I would be cool with picking it up in State College on Friday and bringing it to CT. I could hold onto it for a short while if needed. I'm willing to put it in the back of my truck to save trailer fees, just might be a pain in the ass to push a heavy Harley up the ramps without power. |

Not trying to step on your toes Mark, just offering to be a second for the first leg but it sounds like we have the same availability, not on the weekend. |

I think we need to think "rent a u-haul" trailer. There are about a dozen places in the Cincinnati area that have the small 5'x7' flatbeds. I'd be towing behind an SUV. Mark . . . work on your plan to get him to State College, or somewhere into PA. Let us know when you'll have him in PA and we'll work that leg. I'd be happy to reserve and pay for the trailer. I checked 1-way rentals from Cincinnati to Leominster and they are pretty cheap. Crusty . . . Look at the U-Haul website and let me know which place is the closest. We'll have ya home in no time! :-) Tramp Transport 101 |

Squids - you said "there are TWO Honda PC800's for sale locally to me" When those things first came out, I pulled into a liquor store and saw one outside. Got what I needed and headed out to find the owner getting ready to leave. I asked him if it was his and he got real proud, stuck his chest out and said "yeah, isn't it cool??" I said "man, don't mean to hurt your feelings, but that is THE ugliest motorcycle I have ever seen" Poor him Back to the ranch - this is exactly why I don't want BWB to fizzle out. John, what ever option you choose at this point, you are most likely to have a "parts motor" Get the Roadster back on the road and start rebuilding the old motor at your leisure. Next time you're ready to go to Oz, ship a brand new hot-rod motor ahead of your arrival. Hmmmm, ironhead frame and a new XL hotrod = another adventure. Z |

We just need the Crusty one to chime in and let me know he is ready to roll. I should be able to have him to Jon Friday with no problem. Crusty, send me a PM to get the ball rolling if you want. Just a fyi Roy, my toes feel fine |
