I missed all you guys this year on purpose. Matt: missed you too. Nice company...still my favorite Was that your diesel? Ourdee, nice pics. I see Crusty was at Action Power Sports. And yes, you are missed too. Gonzo was here yesterday. And I hear there are killer staples in Walworth that pop front tires I really missed you guys. I have to buckle down and get to the point in my life where I can point at any of my bikes and say "you're coming with me! Really wasn't the same around here without you. Here is what I have been doing... o changing four set of tires o tightening/replacing steering head bearings o 12k engine rotation service...the whole shebang o changing shifter shaft seal(s) o changing rocker box gasket(s) o new HD ignition switch for the '00 X1...worst decision I ever made, buying a Drag Specialties ignition for a tuber. Fortunately, I did not file the hole bigger, just complained every time I rode it. Had to hold on with both hands to get to KEY ON mode. o fixing one discreet wire in relay/fuse box that doesn't lock anymore o fix saddlebag that will not stay tight on framing with OEM quarter turn locks o almost forgot this one...returning 16.5 front mount to '99 X1 to accomodate Penske 8983 shock...for about 4 years now my back end was sitting low...changing from 16.5 OEM replacement shock to 14.7 with new front mount bracket...unfortunately got a 16.5 from vendor (Brinnitz in Kenosha had the same problem)...by the way...thanks Doris for finding my OEM 16.5 front mount...did I tell you guys my wife is awesome!!!!!...this year will be our 20th o new Galfer wave rotors...OEM six pin "rattler" will be gone soon o new brake pads o race ECM for stock exhaust on the 1125r...sure wish Loose1 lived closer This is the reason why I did not have breakfast this year for the crew. Wanted to get all maintenance done so that I can take out whichever bike I want and ride with you guys...RPM4X4 remembers my bald tire And, on top of all that, two recent funerals to tend to...my youngest brother (42) and my oldest cousin (72). It's been a busy year for me. |

Big shout out for James T at Action Power Sports for providing us with a spirited group ride, Thursday through the Kettle Moraine on the way to Action Power Sports, for his first time doing a group ride I thought he did a good job. Then the stop at Action Power sports for lunch and stunt riding entertainment. |

Thanks to those of you who were able to attend for posting pics and info on the meet. Two questions: Did they say if there will be 2017 models released this year? I can't imagine there'd be any significant changes, but I'm curious. Dealerships- Any indication if they expect to pick up more dealerships in the near future? |

Our local dealer had sworn them off after getting stuck with a large inventory that was difficult to sell off at a loss. I spoke to them last week and was told that they were in negotiations with EBR again. They are looking for much less commitment to the EBR brand so they can be more flexible. I hate to say it, but the dealerships got hit hard. |

I hate to say it, but the dealerships got hit hard. For some, maybe most, that's very true. The dealer in SC (RPM) was a new EBR-only shop, and he folded shortly after EBR went into receivership. I would imagine they're not the only dealership that wound up like that. I'll bet the former dealers who've already picked up EBR again were multi-brand dealers who had few or no EBR bikes in stock at the time of the closure. In their cases, the receivership had a minimal impact on their business. |

Rider's Hill here in Georgia folded up shortly after this all happened. Their bikes were all overpriced to begin with, but I think it's more than coincidence that EBR went down and they sunk right behind it. |

Matthew,Anthony the owner of Riders Hill had been trying to sell the business for quite some time.He fell off his roof a couple of years ago and never fully recovered from the injuries. He just wanted to retire and not have the worry and physical stress of running the business. |

^ Mike- a guy on Facebook over the weekend said he was looking seriously into opening a Buell/EBR shop somewhere in western NC, north-western SC, or eastern TN. Somebody suggested he should look at acquiring Rider's Hill. That'd be great to see that place reopen. BTW- I believe they still have their demo 1190RX advertised for sale (cheap!). |

No confirmation on if or when there would be 2017 models, the bikes I saw on the assembly line all looked 2016, but I didn't read the VINs to confirm. If there are any changes, they are likely to be small. I personally think different gear ratio for the SX would be easy and a nice low cost tweak, but I'm not behind the curtain.

Yep, there was talk of things looking good for a new dealer in Texas really soon, and how they are constantly working with new potential dealers. They are doing some things differently than before to improve relations. |

I'll bet the former dealers who've already picked up EBR again were multi-brand dealers who had few or no EBR bikes in stock at the time of the closure. In their cases, the receivership had a minimal impact on their business. My understanding is that they required a pretty sizable commitment in stock and floor space to become a dealer. It's going to sting even the big multi-brand dealers, as my local dealer is. Sounds like they may ease up those requirements some. |
