Hold the phone Mark! I don't know if it was supposed to be outside. Diesel engine. Front wheel drive. Looked like it had a trailer hitch. To be honest it did not have any AX badging. I'll post a picture. |

^ Well, damn! What I took from the interview linked above is that we won't see a hard core adventure bike any time soon, but we may very well see an SX variant along the lines of a City Cross or XB12XT in the near future. Works for me! |

> ...we may very well see an SX variant along the lines of a City Cross or XB12XT in the near future. This was talked about in the booth at IMS in February and they actually had one on display, albeit up on the lift platform of the long truck with some extra bits on it at the restart open house that month or two back. Shame that one could not walk up and check it out on the ground. |

Need more pictures! If that's not a perfect segue for someone to post today's group photo, I sure don't know what is. Unfortunately I do not have it as I opted for others to disseminate it electronically rather than forcing everyone to endure through another picture to be taken. So, who can post that - and hopefully other - pictures? 1313 |

I am hoping for a sport touring version as well. While I love the Blast, I am not that much into self torture to be folded up for the ride from MD to homecoming. |

A 180 degree atmosphere at homecoming this year. Very positive. Bikes are being built every day at EBR. Volume is being kept low and growth is projected to be steady. The bikes built are sold. I heard an employee excitedly tell me that they loved their job. A special thanks goes out to Mrs. Hurda and the 2 smaller bikers (I probably misspelled it) for allowing us to kidnap Dan at Gus's. EBR has put together another fine group of elves! |

^ Very good to hear. Heck, in the audio interview linked above, Erik says they have former employees who work their regular 8-10 hour/day job someplace else and come to EBR at night on their own time to help out. That speaks volumes about the work atmosphere at EBR. |

It's a rare thing to actually love your job, going to work! Generally speaking, I love working in fine dining... my best buddy is a machinist by trade, wish the EBR factory were closer so I could put him on it! GREAT news. Thanks, RD! |

Was over at Action Power Sports here in Waukesha today. Those of you interested in stepping up...there are two 2015 SX there with the upgraded clutch (easier pull)...special until 3pm today...$9999...see James Tordik. For all you guys that need 1125 valve servicing, EBC brake pads, etc...Action Power Sports can help you out. Doris was in her Buell gear and me in my EBR. Road America...another rain day as usual! |

Steve, we missed you this year. I didn't take many pictures, as usual. Here's the few I took. The unofficial official camp site before the others got there. My bike parked with some high class company. And the new battery out of the blast that took a crap. We were blaming 1313 (Brankin) for braking it since he was the last one to ride it until I took it on the ride leaving the factory. Notice the bubble on the face of it. A great time was had and there are a lot of stories and pictures that'll be coming out. Matt |

The factory tour was a more detailed tour than the one at the reopening party. Got to see sub assembly work and the engine building. Top secret stuff. Camera and cell phone restrictions were strictly enforced. I'm telling you there is some area 51 stuff going on just out of sight. The VIN #1 bike is the only unsold bike around there and it is being auctioned off to benefit veterans. I got to ride the Blasterd .5 of Matt's to the hardware store for 5" to 7" band clamps to temporarily replace the front muffler strap on Lil Red that gave up the ghost on the way up. Roger of Screamer's Garage night fame saved the day with a front strap at garage night. Erik scribbled on bikes for all that asked during the plant tours. He was hospitable as usual. Tish brought home made cookies that were delicious like they always are. Kim was on hand to put out fires. The HomeComing Tees were fabulous and Dennis was unofficially voted in as HomeComing facilitator for next year. Gus's has a Chicago style dog this year that is a gourmet offering. I was amazed at the way he hit the culinary ball right out of the park with this one. I didn't even have a single piece of broasted chicken this year. John Crispy (Crusty) added a richness to the camp fire side chats. There is a genuineness to the man that helps put the proper perspective in your mind when you contemplate what you think is important in your own life. |

Steve, You were missed. I kept an eye open, hoping to see you. You are right in that James Tordik has anyone covered that wants to get in on the best motorcycle deal going. |
