Im curious if anyone knows the weight differences between a tube-frame front end (forks/wheels/braking system) and an XB/1125 setup.

I don't think I've ever seen published specs that list that. I would imagine the XB or 1125 setup is lighter, but I don't know by how much, or if at all.

didnt know if anyone had ever done some weighing for their projects

Im thinking about how much I'd save on my drag project by going with a 1125/XB setup.
I know its supposed to be better for road racing and street, but in drag weight is far more important.
Got some cheap forks last week and the idea started brewing in my head

I think the only way to know for sure would be to weigh the components.

The weight of the forks (inverted/vs. not inverted) may make some difference, depending upon the tuber model. However, the brake disk & wheel are likely going to be heavier vs. XB/1125 components. Only way to really know for sure, depending upon what tuber model, would be to weigh the components & make your decision from there.

It's a bit more complicated than simply weighing the parts. Rotational mass makes a big difference too. It not only has to be accelerated down the track, but must also be accelerated in rotation. The farther the mass is from the center of rotation, the more acceleration it experiences. It's some pretty complex calculations, at least from my perspective. I'm pretty sure Buell did those calculations when they came up with the XB set up though.
