I do think the quote function here is better. I hate the quote function on other forums.
Here, as I read, I highlight the specific quote I want to respond too, and right click "copy" to send it to the clipboard. There it sits in the buffer. I continue to navigate, type my response, and type 8 extra keystrokes, right click and hit paste, and I'm done. It's really easy and precise.
The other forum software encourages over quoting, which is worse than not quoting at all. The previous post is right up there to read, if you were just going to cut and paste the whole thing, don't cut and paste it. I hate forever scrolling to see the same great big block of text posted over and over and over. |

I haven't been regular here for a long time. I still have all of my Buells and would like a few more. I still feel like this place is family. I donate to a podcast through a site called "Patreon" and would certainly do the same for this home away from home to keep it going. I never thought that it might go away some day. If it helps any of you nerds feel better about yourselves or the site... I don't know how to quote or any of that other fancy stuff. Shucks, I just got a smart phone that I'll never figure out how to use a month or so ago. Maybe I'll try to get Froggy to give me a tutorial at The Dino next week. |

I am planning to be there. However, the past two years, I was planning to be there, and I got really sick and couldn't make it. This will be my third attempt at the Stamford Dinosaur. |
