Cool! Obviously you've got a FAST steed, be safe and get there ASAP! BTW, you probably already know, radar detectors are illegal in VA... |

Matthew- I ran into a good buddy last night at the local blues bar, she and her dad own a liquor store nearby... she is known to hoard some good hooch! I asked, and she's out, but some time ago she DID have some Pappy Van Winkle held back... Between her and my old boss, I'll see about bringing something. DANG but you've got a good collection! |

If you can score us a bottle of Pappy, well... I would be very happy indeed! I would also gladly consider myself upstaged. |

Mary said she would NOT be doing an evening meal on Friday night but would do one on Saturday night. So Matthew,I guess your idea of hitting Jim's Smokin' Que is the way to go. |

Well then, there it is! Now we need to figure out what time everyone wants to eat. I'm thinking we knock it out early. The portions are big enough that everybody can bring some back to TWoS with them and have a second meal from it. |

Here's an idea- if the earlier folks going to BBQ lunch could spring for a couple of bulk orders to go, dinner for everyone would be covered Friday evening, and those who arrive late could still have some awesome grub. If I was late I'd certainly buy into a dinner like that! I had been planning to run down on TN68/GA60, but I could just as well roll 129 the whole way. |

I'm hoping to have a tentative itinerary firmed up by this weekend. The wife and daughters are going to Disney World, so I'll have the house to myself and time to plan. I have a very limited edition surprise item for everybody who comes... beyond the shirts. |

I have a very limited edition surprise item for everybody who comes... beyond the shirts. Well, that knocked me off the fence. I put in my vacation request just before lunch. I won't be able to push it through until my boss is back tomorrow, however. I need to take a good motorcycle ride anyways... 1313 |

Breaking News I'll keep it brief. I've recently (in the last week) discovered that I have heart problems. I'll be having surgery next Tuesday, just a few days before GB2. This means I will not be able to ride the motorcycle for at least 2 weeks. The good news is I get to drive my Spyder, and I know Graham is rolling his Mustang down here... so it's now a mixed bag of cars, bikes, and even one sidecar. Don't worry, I can still drink whiskey and eat BBQ in moderation. The doctor said I MUST drink red wine every day. Can do! And now, back to your regularly scheduled programming. |

... DANG Matthew! Whatever the problem is, apparently not a BIG deal, I sure hope! Being able to turnaround in that short time for the weekend is great, but take it easy regardless. I just had a shipment of some nice Merlot show up recently, I'll pack a bottle, probably with something else good. |

We're doing a cardiac catheter and a couple of stents. Blockage in my heart and also carotid artery. That second part will wait for a future procedure. Right now working on lowering the cholesterol and blood pressure. Couple of different pills throughout the day, and Nitroglycerin in my pocket "just in case". I think I would be fine getting on the bike, but Mrs. Anthony is adamant that I reduce my exposure to risk. Apparently she wants to keep me around a while longer. |

Wowsers... and by all means, the magic words are, have been, and always will be, "Yes Dear". Rolling in that Spyder drop-top with your honey surely is every bit as good as railing on the Kaw. Still looking for a cheep 'vert someday, myself. |

Matthew, be very gentle with the site where they insert the cardiac catheter. I had an angiogram before my heart surgery, and they went in through my wrist. Since it was an arterial entry, I had to be especially cautious because the pressure is much higher than a veinous entry. The surgeon stressed that if I injured the site, I could bleed to death in a matter of minutes. I took his warning seriously and kept a low profile for a couple of weeks. If there's any doubt about how it's healing, take the car. I'd rather see you there in a car than not see you because the bike (or trike) overstressed the wound and you're hospitalized. |

Matthew- Sorry to hear it, but glad to hear it at the same time. Supposedly the first indication that something like 50% of people have that they have a heart condition is a fatal heart attack. You're well ahead of the game. Welcome to the club. I had a 3X CABG ~15 years ago (be glad you avoided that). No issues since. |

I had a stroke when I was 19, recovered from that pretty quickly. Had a seizure of some kind back in 2006, but doctors never could figure out what it was. My brother keeled over from a massive infarction when he was 46, and I'm not going out like that. Kicking and screaming, but not falling over face first!

I've been kicking life's ass all along, despite it's own best efforts to kick mine. The bills are already stacking up, out of pocket expenses next week are $6350.00 So... anybody who can contribute for these T-shirts I made, it would be greatly appreciated. Now, later, whenever... I did it on my own with the intention of just taking whatever donations came along, but now I'm gouging my savings account to pay for surgery... so... I'm going to reveal the design to help encourage the cashflow. Bear in mind, the shirts look better in person than they do in the pictures... they really came out well.
The cost on these shirts was $34.00 each. Pricey, I know... but I wanted Glitch to have a really good memento of the occasion. Glitch and Ann are NOT allowed to pay for any shirts!!! That is non-negotiable! *** I mentioned before that I have a limited edition special item for all attendees, that is going to remain free of charge. It's not much, but it is very cool. |
