That was the camera on my phone, it has a panorama mode that lets you make really wide pictures. My new phone has 20 megapixels so I'll be able to get much better images going forward. |

My new phone has 20 megapixels so I'll be able to get much better images going forward. Pwnzor- A friend of mine pointed out that once you get past about 10 megapixels, your photo quality starts to depend more on the quality of the lens and less on the pixel count. So as long as the phone has a commensurately better lens to go along with the high pixel count, your pics should be awesome. Of course any of these phones are amazing compared to what a decent digital camera could do 10 or even 5 years ago. |

Well I shot some pictures out of my van the other day, going about 65mph and I can count blades of grass in the image about 400 yards out... so it's pretty good I think! I am so ready for this weekend to get here... |

That's pretty impressive, especially if you know the road is behind you, and you captured 180degrees without much distortion at all |

2 WEEKS!!! Let's firm things up here... who is arriving on Friday? Saturday? I'm going to be putting together some basic riding itineraries for the weekend, and it partially depends on who will be there, and when. (Message edited by pwnzor on March 18, 2016) |

"I'll be there all day Saturday." Saturday is the only day that matters! |

RD, ummm, he made it happen on some longsleeve shirts... roll back a bit on this thread. I'm planning on hitting Vern's for the BBQ shindig on the 31st, then rolling down with an early start on Friday- with any luck, should be at TWoS by midafternoon on 4/1. If everything goes as planned, I'll be on the "slow" bike, the R75/7. I'll have the Sprint ready for plan B. |

Haven't heard from Etennuly yet on the details for his party. BBQ. Bonfire. Badwebbers. All the essential ingredients are there. I'm really looking forward to it! |

Who likes the idea of Jim's Smokin' BBQ for an early dinner on Friday? It doesn't mean we /i{can't} eat there again on Saturday. My thinking goes like this: Jim's isn't open on Sunday. I really want to eat there at least once, and I'm sure several others feel that way too. If the group elects to ride on Saturday in a direction that is not conducive to eating at Jim's it could be kind of sucky. Of course, if Glitch wants to eat at Jim's on Saturday, then we're eating at Jim's on Saturday, and that trumps all this regardless. So... whaddya say? Jim's on Friday and possibly Saturday as well? |

Matthew, I'm shooting for early afternoon. Not having ridden the Beemer that route, with a new set-up and new tires, don't really know the ETA precisely. Trying to coordinate lunch/dinner plans? Or a whiskey tasting event? (BTW, you still need to send me a list of what you're bringing... I want to contribute something new/different to a tasting party. FWIW, I'm hoping to have a good range of good wines at the house, might load up some of those.) |

Oh, OK then. My vote is a group ride on Saturday for lunch to Jim's Smokin' Butts, and hopefully a good feed bag at TWoS Friday evening as everyone rolls in. Haven't inquired with Mary about vittles, so I dunno what they'll have available. My old standby was a trip to the Dalhonega Wallyworld for beer and victuals, prepared and served al fresco, beside the campfire/firepit Jenga... |

Let's see; I'm having BBQ at Vern's on Thursday night. Now, Matt is proposing BBQ on Friday evening as an early dinner, followed by BBQ for lunch on Saturday. Sounds good to me! |

TWoS has a solid menu any time they're serving food, which they should be that Friday. As for the list of beverages, check your spam folder maybe? I did send you a synopsis, but here it is again: Woodford Reserve, Stranahans, Basil Hayden, Jefferson's Reserve, Jack Daniels Single Barrel, Willet's Reserve, Eagle Rare, Bushmills 10yr, Glenlivet Nadurra 16yr, Maker's 46, High West, JD Old #7, Russell's Reserve, Wild Turkey Rare Breed, Wild Turkey 81, Midnight Moonshine, Breckenridge Colorado Whiskey I'm just throwing everything in a milk crate and people can sample what they want. It does no good sitting down here on my shelf while I'm sitting up there!!
On the subject of wine... if you want to check out the local wineries on Sunday, they all serve after 1230. Gretchen and I have become fairly acquainted with the owners of several really good vineyards near by. There are deals to be had by loosely associating yourself with the pair of us when it comes to wineries in North Georgia. |

I'll try to remember to ask Mary if they are serving an evening meal on Friday the 1st tomorrow. I'm up for Jim's.I'll check with Joe tomorrow as I'll be staying with him.He likes to grill one night when I'm up,it's kind of a tradition. |

I always enjoy the view at Wolf Mountain Winery. The driveway is entertaining also!
On Google maps I noticed that you can ride Ridley road on out past the winery and zig zag a few roads that get you to Cooper Gap road right into Suches. Might be an interesting ride. Looks like it could be gravel in places which for the Uly would be fun! |

I love the property at Wolf Mountain, but the wine is kind of... meh. I'm not against going there, though. Was thinking more along the lines of The Cottage, Yonah Mountain, and Serenity Cellars. Back on the subject of Friday, I surely would not mind having BBQ for an early dinner, back to TWoS before dark though. |

Sorry Mike, I was kinda tied down for a few days then really busy to make up for it the past few. I replied to your email this evening. I was out all day today with a dead phone battery. I was standing beside a Farrari Testarosa that I would really like to have taken a picture of. Stupid phone operator doesn't know when the phone is going dead.....or didn't check it..........oh that was me by the way. I am planning to head that way Friday with the guys. Not sure what I will be riding, but the choices are 'fun' or 'fun', so it will be good either way. |

Shit! Where are you starting from Graham? I'm attempting to ride slower around the general N GA area. Last time I looked, Tom B, Tim, and the nutty F& on the Husky supermoto weren't coming, nor is Barker, so no odd forest roads on street bikes, and no supralegal speeds when the ... oh, nevermind. I've resolved to run down and back on the slow bike. |

From Falls Church VA Google Maps is telling me 9.5 to 10.5 hours, and knowing me I'll stop and look at stuff along the way. I'm thinking I'll take I-66 to I-81, I-81 down to near Kingsport, then through Asheville to Suches via I-26, I-40 and US64. |
