Ourdee, looking forward to it. Brankin, I was there too! Little bit of excitement in East Troy tonight. Big commotion outside of Roma's. Shooting in the parking lot and then a chase on 43 toward Muskego. Not normal for this area. |

Brankin, I was there too! Yes, yes you were - the past couple/few years in fact. I must recall bikes more than names/faces as I remember your XB12XP and your username slipped my memory banks. It would be cool to see your S1 one of these years. One of the "regulars". Steeleagle = 'regular'? Ha! Thanks for the laugh! But then again, none of us are anything close to 'regular'... 96 days! |

Good point! Artistic license. Use of the term loosely. Dumb Anatomical Attack (DAA) on my part...Pick one! |

Thanks! Yes, the S1 this year. Last year the S1 had a bit of an electrical problem and I think most, but not all, of it was between my ears. Sorted it out a week or two after HC. I would rather be around this group of "irregulars" than most regulars. Good group of folks. |

I blame my bouts of irregularity on consumption of too many cheese products. I'm waffling on what to bring and how to bring it. Plenty of time to decide! |

Rats. Even though I sold my Uly and replaced it with a '13 GS (54,000 miles so far), I might consider coming. That is, if I weren't already planning a trip which includes the Scott Joplin Ragtime Festival in Sedalia, Missouri from June 1-4. Already have hotel reservation there. So make a toast to Erik for me, and have a good time! --Doc |

I have a CD of Scott Joplin piano rags performed by the Composer. I found it in the Bargain Bin at a local supermarket a few years ago. I don't think the store realized how much of a bargain it really was. |

Doc, That sounds pretty good. YES, double entendre. So, Crusty, you going to Sedalia now? |

I like Scott Joplin, but I'd rather be at Homecoming that weekend. We'll see how things shake out; I might be able to make it back to East Troy for June 1st. I won't make any promises. but you never know. (Message edited by Crusty on February 27, 2016) |

Admin! Shouldn't this thread be on the Storm Fronts? No; it shouldn't. Homecoming's been on the quick board since forever. Homecoming may not be as large as it used to be, but it's still an important event for folks who are into Buells and EBRs. |

Thank you Crusty. I don't worry about "Admin." moving the HomeComing countdown. It's not the ADV board. Johnod, HomeComing is the return of your Buell to the place it was born. Once a year, usually just before and during the RoadAmerica bike races at the beginning of June. A bunch of Buell enthusiasts travel to East Troy, Wisconsin. There have been factory sponsored and there have been enthusiasts sponsored Home Comings. In recent years it has been a smaller event with garage nights provided by very generous hosts. There will be a camp fire to sit around at some point for those that want to. We run through Gus's drive in. Eat at Roma's. In the past Erik wound up being sighted or bumped into for a history lesson or bit of off the record insight. We don't talk politics with him. Please, respect that. Some people go to the races all weekend. Don't speed on the north side of East Troy. There are lots of nice roads to ride in the area and usually we come up with a local to lead a ride. It is about hanging out with other Buell enthusiasts. Not everyone is on a Buell and that is fine. It is not just BadWeb Buellers either. This thread counts down to it and can be used to see what is happening during and after. I am not in charge of it! I do try to keep the countdown current and others sometimes pick up my slack. If there are a group of riders doing something together it often gets posted here. If you get to East Troy and don't have internet, stop at Gus's and get a shake, someone will roll in on a Buell. |

And if Dave Gess shows up and I show up, I'll buy him a beer or two just to hear the story about Erik, the VR prototype and the State Trooper. I'm intrigued. Just hearing that story will probably be worth a ride to Wisconsin. The rest of Homecoming will be a Bonus! |

On a related note, the press release from EBR yesterday said they will have a public open house on March 18:
quote:The public, Buell Nation, and EBR fans are invited to attend the EBR launch party on March 18 at the EBR motorcycle factory on Buell Drive in East Troy, WI. There will be free food, an EBR team ‘meet and greet,’ tours of the production line, and other events at venues in the historic downtown village of East Troy, WI.
