Spring is around the corner. Crusty has missed the last two. Third times the charm? Besides the "Usual Suspect," we have Ted's famous cheeseburgers and now a third possibility: The Toymaker's Cafe. What do you all think? |

I'm going to go to Glitch Badness for April 1 - 3, Then, I'm going to visit with my sister and Brother in Law for a few days, after that, I'm coming back north. So anytime after the second week in April sounds good to me. Dinosaur, Ted's, Toymaker's ; they all sound good to me. It's the people , not the restaurant that makes it great! |

Toymaker's would be for breakfast and would be an earlier meet time. Ted's or the Dinosaur would be for lunch. Let the discussion begin! |

I'd be all for it if I can park my twins on the day in question. |

Toymakers Is a "local" fav of mine also, mostly for the ambiance. I'll be following this post |

I don't understand, why breakfast at Toymakers? Granted I could be there in an hour and a half, but it would be nice to stretch the ride out a little and I'm not much of a morning person. |

Well; let's figure a date that would be good for everybody. Does anybody want to do it in March? Is mid to late April better? How about doing both? We could do breakfast at Toymaker's on one, then do lunch at either the Dinosaur or Ted's on the other date. Of course, we could do a third ride to eat at whichever location we didn't hit on some later date, if people want. Personally, I would like to eat at the Stamford Dinosaur. The past two times, I've been sick and missed it. Then again, maybe my Guardian Angel is trying to tell me something? Actually, it doesn't matter where me meet. As I said before, it's the company, not the location, that makes it great. |

I'd be in for Troy Dinosaur, Stamford is too far for a day trip. |

I'm not voting because I'll just go anywhere there is good food. I haven't been to Toymaker but I've been to the rest of the places mentioned, all of them are winners |

Well; if it means that Innes will show, then I'll throw my vote at the Troy Dinosaur. The question now is When? |

The Troy dinosaur would be a bit of a haul for me. I regularly hit that on my way home from Americade, though... |

Whatever you guys decide just let me know, although Sundays give me more options as I work every other Saturday night. |

We could do a breakfast at Toymaker's some Sunday; then, at a later date do the Dinosaur when it would be convenient for all. |

I like that. No where is it written we can only meet up once a year. |

Multiple days might not be bad after all. Toymaker's I could spend a half day on and still do stuff around the house. Troy would probably involve most of the day, especially when searching for good back roads to take. Still haven't answered my question, why breakfast at Toymaker's? I've only had lunch there, do they do something special in the morning? |

Most of the riders I know speak of "Breakfast at the Toymaker's" the way they used to talk about breakfast at Marcus Dairy... so I generally associate it with breakfast (which is what I had when I went). Leaves the rest of the day to explore Connecticut's back roads, I guess... |

My club was out on their first "Breakfast Ride" of the season yesterday. We passed a place out on the east end of Long Island called "Bacon BBQ." Definitely have to get back there one day. For those of you willing to take a ferry trip from New London, there is an EXCELLENT steak house (three of them, actually) on the North Fork all owned by "Cliff's" that make the best marinated steaks you've ever had at surprisingly reasonable prices too. But the main purpose of this update was to bump this thread so it doesn't just disappear. |

I just looked at my last post; we could reverse that. Remember when we did the ride to 5 Guys in Danbury? IIRC, that was in March. (It was a beautiful day, too!) We could do a lunch run first, that way, the temps wouldn't be so cold for those of us who have to travel a bit, then save the breakfast for another time when the weather's a bit warmer |

I've got a box truck driver sitting here:
I told him about the Dinosaur, but not sure what's the easiest location for him to get to... he's driving this:
