Weatherbug is now reporting 65 degrees and "Mostly Sunny" for Sunday. Shaun (on Facebook) reported seeing predictions of temperatures in the 70s.

I think I am going to make it. I hope I can swing it, I haven't seen any Badwebbers in a few years. I think the last "organized" event I participated in was something that ended around Tuxedo NY at a BBQ joint. It was the day Sandy the super storm stopped by Jersey for a quick visit. |

I have to meet someone on Long Island so I figure I might as well go there before we meet up. Should be a good day for a nice long ride. Here is my planned route. My arrival time at the Dinosaur is determined by the time I leave my house so hopefully I leave on time. If I'm going to be late I'll post up my order here.

Just checked Google Maps. The most direct route for me will be roughly an hour with construction delays on the Throgs Neck Bridge and along I-95. |

With Court, ya never know. It would be pretty neat if he does show.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
I have to admit that I'm a little bit nervous. The last two times I tried to go to a Gathering at the Stamford Dinosaur, I got sick and couldn't make it. Also, the last time I went to any Dinosaur for a Badweb gathering was at the Troy location, and it freakin' Poured all the way home.
This Sunday's going to make up for that, though. Right? |

Hahahahaha . . .wel, it's not for lack of trying. I fully intended to join up today . . but the evil spirits of work conspired to keep it from happening.
You could not have had a better day in the NYC area . . . enjoy the ride, the food and the folks.

I got home just as the sun was setting. What a magnificent day!Great food, and greater people and conversation. It just doesn't get any better than that.
We have to do this more often. It's too good to only let it happen once a year.
I arrived at 12:30 and didn't leave until after 3:30. I didn't have the time to talk with everyone as much as I would have liked to.
Next time, maybe we could try that breakfast joint you were talking about. Toymaker's? |

Here's my tally for the day. I turned on my tracking about 15 miles after i left so my mileage was just under 400.
Folks seemed to get a kick out of my passenger.

"Damnut." Yep, I can see where you got your moniker now. I think you get the "Long Distance 'Just Because'" Award. Dave from Binghamton gets the "Long Distance as the Crow Flies" Award.
Oh, one other thing before I forget: While we were milling about the parking lot a fellow stopped to take several photos of us. Turned out he was one of the employees (maybe a manager?) of the restaurant. He said he LOVED seeing all the bikes and that usually only the Syracuse location attracts the motorcyclists. He told us the Stamford location sees mostly "Corporate Types." We told him we'd need to do something about that...  |

Griffmeister definitely showed me some great backroads of Southern CT. Managed to make a 100+ mile trip last 2.5hrs!
Great turn out and appears for the most part everyone's bikes cooperated. Lol |

I turned just over 400 miles on the trip. Did all back roads on the way there then jumped on 17 in Bloomingburg. I think my end mileage was 404.8 |
