Will you guys for goodness sake quit teasing the Australian rude guy about his country not surviving unless we helped out back in the 1940's.
It's true, since the United Kingdom sent the bulk of the Aussie armed forces off to fight in Africa and elsewhere, that Australia was in big trouble.... but it's also true that without Australia as a base of operations that the war against the East Asian Co-prosperity Sphere the U.S. would have had a much harder time, and it had a damn hard time as it was.
Besides, The Aussies did an awesome job in New Guinea with very little support.
And it was a long time ago, Alfau wasn't around, and obviously has received a whole pile of 'roo crap instead of an education on U.S politics. ( mostly from sources like CNN ) Don't have a clue what he actually knows about WW2, since he is lacking in polite communication skills. ( or chooses to be a wank, you really can't tell. )
And, not to defend the uncommunicative and often wrong fella, what do YOU know about Aussie politics? I got very little. I did laugh my arse off when Alfau was all hyper about some Aussie politician that lost his job because he took a bottle of expensive wine!
Holy frijoles! A bottle of Wine! The current U.S. President charges $500,000 to have lunch to talk to him, with a bunch of other people who paid the half a freaking million dollar bribe for access! Still, I suppose any win against corruption is a good thing. If they sent you to prison in proportion to the bribes taken, they'd have to invent immortality for Obama.
In any case, true or not, it's rude to ASK for thanks.
I watched this happen re: Iraq. People kept wanting the Iraqis to be grateful for us kicking out the mass murdering torture nut with poison gas. They were. They had a parade. They threw flowers. Good enough. Keep asking for gratitude, and you get resentment.
On that thought, Sure, it's the Republicans that freed the Slaves. They began as the anti-slave party.
But we sure can't ASK for gratitude, since we didn't eliminate the Democrats, who to this day consider the negros to be property.
I think I'm going to do something more productive than read this thread anymore and smoke some crack.... who's in?
FWIW, Australia has the population of Florida and Connecticut, and the landmass of nearly our 48 cont. states. It must get lonely out there, without enough people to start fights with over there. You all should feel privileged to be insulted by a person of such relevance and honor. His rhetoric is so well thought out, his writer just might be a macaw.
An immature and vengeful hair in my head makes me want to make fun of Australia's history and politics, but honestly- I only dislike the user. I think the country is beautiful. It's a shame that the lone representative of such a great place in these threads is such a douche bag. Alfau is definitely not the best that the Oceana region has to offer.
His hair piece however, is actually an alien like the head crabs from Half-Life. That's the problem. ( come on...... you had to wonder why so many people love him? Alien mind control rays. It explains so much........)
I think Erik Buell should run. He could use the Black Lives Matter campaign they have been running over here to educate us dumb asses as a platform. Or is he a Democrat?
I might only be an occasional visitor but I am an Australian. And I do take exception to some of the comments posted on this thread about my country. And the comments about some of the other people who post here.
Agreed. Australia is awesome. If I could I'd live there 5months a year at least. No reason to mock Australians.
On another board I commented I had found the only rude people in Australia and Canada ( on a different board, here ) & was told "Great, keep them there!".
And I do take exception to some of the comments posted on this thread about my country. Huh??? Cite examples. Everyone loves Oz.
And the comments about some of the other people who post here. Alfau is a big boy and is responsible for his inane comments. (If that is to whom you are referring).
...and how come there are only Caucasian shaded, clear or cartoon style Band-Aids? (Nothing for the African American?) I think Johnson and Johnson needs to explain.......
How many cops have "gunned down" Negroes and have not been indicted or have been cleared by a court? Said another way, can you point to an instance in this century where the cop has been let off scot-free? There is an unfortunate recent tendency for lynch mob mentality to assume every instance is murder by cop, without actual evidence and due process.
Jr. debate in 7 minutes! I WANT one of these people to appeal to me, come on guys (wait, not you early folks, but the real debate later) make some sense for two hours for once
Watching the Jr. debate and Graham is...well I can see why he's at the kids table. Bush in office wouldnt have let the terror attacks happen? You want him back (and his PATRIOT Act)? Yeah....nah.
The other three arent impressing me, but they arent pushing me away like LG is either. Ready for the big boys (and girl) to get up there
Which was written to be temporary. Not that that excuses the flaws and excesses, but it was a temp. Then Barry, after telling us Georgie spent too much, so much it was unpatriotic, ( Agreed ) and the patriot act was over reach, ( Agreed ) proceeded to crank up more debt that every President in History. Combined. ( Including Georgie ) and made the Patriot Act permanent, and stronger. ( aka gave him more power )
There were in fact terrorist attacks after 9/11. In the U.S.... But most were of the "drive the SUV through the crowd" by a student carefully not discussed on the News as a Musselman.
Just like "Obamacare" Is a horrible massive pile of dung that could have had the "good parts" passed in a short bill... ( but was never allowed to come to a vote by Harry The Real Estate Guy )
The Patriot act was an over reaction to the idiocy of the Clinton years rules making it illegal for the CIA to tell the FBI there were bad guys to watch. ( because once inside the U.S. the CIA isn't supposed to have any authority )
All, repeat all, Republican candidates have revealed the danger that this POS POTUS and his former Secretary of State have placed us.
The real Global Warming danger right now is nuclear war that this a-hole is nudging us towards. Instead that idiot and his lapdog Lurch have been pontificating in Paris.

I stumbled into this radio interview with Ted Nugent just now while doing some research on another thread. This interview is just shy of two months old, but still resonates - as usual, Uncle Ted speaks The Truth:
