Could be against safety rules for the camera person to do anything except call someone. Could be a union shop and action to remedy the situation comes from the other side of some line of demarcation. Most likely cameras are not authorized in that facility. My guess is that if this is real and not staged, that the normal operating procedure is that the next set of packages on the conveyor will remedy this packages situation. As steep as that up belt and as fast as the belt travels this could be a regular occurrence. As it usually takes something happening often before the camera rolls. I have lots of footage from work, but would never make it public. Where is that hand printed face picture? |

"Could be against safety rules" Reaching into the conveyor area is probably strictly forbidden. In fact, I'd put money on that. |

Guy at my last plant got caught in the belt. Took the skin off both of his legs. He will never be the same, or those that saw it. So bad the Company nurse showed up with a shot. I saw some bad stuff including almost stepping on a dead guy I found. Nurse never showed up with a shot. Skilled trades took the conveyor apart to get him out. It was a few years till we saw him again. He wasn't the same guy. It only took a little misstep. |

Skilled Trades, as in Skilled Trades Company, based out of Amarillo (used to be out of Ohio)? |

Nope, not them. Skilled Trades is a general term used in the U.A.W. for electricians, millwrights, and machine repairmen mainly. There are some others in there. When you are in deep, you want MillWrights. |

And if it is my bacon, I want the crotchety old millwright that could have already retired and has grand babies. I trust all of those I've come to know. |

Yep, you see that package thing happen. Next package will take care of it. A really good example of when the forces line up just wrong. ( or right ) Also why I tell everyone, no matter which service you use, pack your stuff so it won't be bothered if you throw it down a flight of stairs. Everyone uses belts. |

Reaching into the conveyor area is probably strictly forbidden. Yep, and Ourdee said WHY. Those things move tons. They don't even notice tearing your skeleton out. |
