I believe they show it in the lodge on Sunday morning as well. Yeah... with commercials. And they only show the race. I get all 3 races, all practice and qualifying sessions... in addition to the last 30ish years worth if we want to watch some classic races. |

Frogman, You forgot furlongs, and leagues, then stones and tons, remember knots, Mach, & warp, and my all time favorite, BTUs! Then there's teaspoons, tablespoons, cups, pints, quarts... barrels. Who would want to throw out "acres"? But don't protest too indignantly, after all... Years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds. Besides, it helps confuses our enemies when they try to steal our technical secrets. |

I'm leaving in the morning, will probably stop at a Super8 or similar in Virginia & hammer the rest on Friday. So if you see an orange Guzzi Stelvio with a Quebec plate, that'll be me. |

Well the time is pretty much upon us!!! I am not on the fence about this.....I definitely want to go. I am just having a bit of a time climbing that fence, having work that must be done and delivered before I can make it. Break is over.....back to work! |

y'all have fun and be SAFE!! I have 4 people that want to learn to ride this weekend. I'm hoping they all know how to ride and just need to get the waiver. But, its the last class of the season for me so I'm sure something will toss a wrench into that plan

Froggy is on his way. We had a great visit last night and some really good pizza and wings. I still don't know about my fence climbing, not sure which side I will end up on. Still working. Couple of jobs must be done before I can leave. I will update when I can. |

I just got back from a run into Dahlonega. I'm sitting in an Adirondack type chair on the porch of Two Wheels of Suches. This place is rapidly filling with motorcycles! There's a V Max, a Multistrada, a Guzzi 1100 Sport some BMWs and a bunch of other bikes; even a Kawasaki Eliminator! A group just left. The roads here are very interesting, if you loathe straight. They're as crooked as a politician's heart. I went back to Rider's Hill and got a quart of oil for the Sportster. While I was there, I had lunch at their little restaurant. I got a Pulled Pork sandwich with BBQ baked beans. The pulled pork was very good with a lot of meat on the roll. For the price it was a really good deal. Everything on the menu was priced reasonably. As a motorcycle shop, they really impressed me. They have a half dozen 1190RXs and 2 SXs out front at Riders Hill, and it really makes me wish I could win the Lottery. Maybe I should buy tickets a little more often. Nah; I don't win raffles or lotteries. My luck runs to people. I'm fortunate to have met a lot of people who I consider to be well above average when it comes to quality. A lot of them are on this forum. Well, back to my muttons. |

I'm working on getting the bike and stuff packed up into the van... My regular tire shop that I always go to apparently closed their doors last year, but never took their website offline... so I was ASSUMING I could get tires quickly today but it's not to be. I guess I'll just have to be careful on this fading rear tire. I'll be up after dark. John, could you go up to the lodge and tell Mary that Matthew will be there to check in for room 3 some time after 7:30pm? Not sure how late she stays there, maybe she could leave my key with you? |

Crusty- glad you're enjoying yourself. Rider's Hill is a nice shop with some cool people. Sitting back on the porch and watching all the bikes roll by or roll in is always a great thing to do at the lodge. Pwnzor- there's an M/C tire shop in the same parking lot as Rider's Hill in Dahlonega. If you're desperate for a tire, I'm sure they can fix you up. Looks like I'm not going to make it this year. Y'all have a great time and please post plenty of photos. |

Yeah... Rider's Hill's tire shop is expensive, and I can't make it there before they close. |

Pwnzor; The restaurant is serving dinner until 8:00, so you shouldn't have any problem. But I'll tell them. I just told Mary; she said no problem. |

Got to finish a job in the morning. Took the early evening off to run the Dragon with a couple hundred Vette enthusiasts. After I get a customer truck delivered in the morning I need to change out my front tire to ride the Uly(which is what I prefer to do). I saw three Buells on the Dragon, a white tuber and two red XBs, a Lightning and a Firebolt. They were looking good through the corners(once each way). Was it any of you Buelltoberfesters? |

That foul fan finally is at it's death bed. My first one that died nearly burned the bike down. I was stopped at a gas station and smoke was billowing out everywhere. It made gurgling sounds for 10,000 miles, HD said it was normal back when.....yeah right! This one has sounded bad for a short while, and has been changing pitch speeds for some time. I should have ordered one a while ago but been busy buried under other projects. I guess I'm packing the car for the ride down. Are there any rooms available for just Saturday night? If so I can be there in about four hours. |

Well as time would have it I did not make it. With no rooms available I did not want to hustle down there to be late to the party for a couple of hours then have to find my way to a motel miles away. Crap, next time. Hope it has been a good time for everyone. |

I'm repeating a message on Crusty's thread, I've FINALLY got Monday off: FWIW, whomever might be heading my way from Suches tomorrow, post up and I might try to roll some mileage with ya. I know several of youn's might be heading GA60/TN68 north, which will put you in my backyard... if anyone passes through Tellico Plains around lunchtime, a great little place there is Tellico Grains Bakery. They do from-scratch sammiches, and now serve their famous wood-fired pizzas all week instead of just Saturdays... they installed a new oven just to accomplish that! I'd be happy to meet folks there for lunch if it all worked out... another good place overlooking the river is Tellico Beach Drive-In. Food is quite decent, but the main attraction is eating it while the river runs in front of your picnic table, and all the folks starting/ending their Cherohala Skyway run roll by behind you. Crusty, if you've not done the Cherohala, you oughta! A side trip through Reliance TN is doable too, coming up TN68, you'd just dogleg it at Ducktown on West TN64 to start it, then follow your GPS on a great loop right back up to Tellico Plains. Holler in the AM if anyone's interested! I've been jonesing for a day-run, and I can do a good loop out and back including the Dragon and the Cherohala. Or, just holler if you're passing through Maryville TN. My cel is 865-719-1466, in case I'm doing honeydo's or something. ; ) |

I posted this on Crusty's Southbound thread,I'll repost here. It was a fun weekend!I very much enjoyed meeting John,Innes,Frank,Gretchen (Pwnzor's wife) and hanging with Matthew,Fran and Joe.When we got back to TWoS Saturday, there was Dragon Slayer (who I realised I me several years ago) and his wife Pam and another couple from South Carolina on an 1125CR and a Superhawk, whose names I cant remember. All in all as good a weekend as I have ever had with a bunch of buell folks. The riding was good, the company was good and the food was good. Thanks to Joe for once again being a great host, you cook a mean burger! I can't wait for the next one.Bill Johnson (the owner of TWoS) asked me if we are planning on coming back in the spring.I think we should to enjoy each others company, the great roads and keep the Buell/EBR flame burning. What say ye? |

I'm game for March (Glitch) Badness again! Mike, tell you what... you take the reins for the Spring event and I'll coordinate Buelltoberfest next time. Next October, there will be t-shirts and maybe even custom die-cut decals. (I've asked for a vinyl cutter for Christmas). I had a great time as well, it was a good group, and really great to meet our own BadWeB Vagabond, aka Crusty. |

Back home in NC. It was good talking to ya Mike. Our friends from SC were Brian and Eliza, that was their first time riding that area. They were gonna go to Biketoberfest in Daytona, but were glad they went up to Suches instead. I knew they would. If you can, come join us at The Dragon in April for the Buell event. |
