Noah graduated Basic Training last week. Tracey and I went to Fort Sill in Oklahoma to see him. 900 miles one way. The Renegade was a charm there and back. 32 MPG at 70 mph. Hilton seamed a little short on staff. I am one proud Papa. Fine young man! Got to spend over 16 hours with him over 2 days. Brought back a lot of memories for me. I envy him. We cut the final cord and he is now on his own cell phone plan. I listened intently to there retaking of the oath. Some strong meaning there. Also got to watch 19 new US citizens swear into being Merikans. They came from over 10 different nations. That oath was some good stuff too. From a time when people had substance between their ears. My own son knows the meaning behind what was being affirmed. Please, Keep him in your prayers. I do. |

Tell me about it. I really hate having to hold the door open to drag a knee. |

Ourdee; please convey my thanks to your son for his service. Greatlaker; Good question. You'd never see me driving (or worse, Riding) for a 900 mile distance. Far better to use a Transporter and just beam myself there. |

Got no kids but I drove down to Trenton, N.J. ( I was in New Bedford, Mass)to see my little bro graduate Army boot, many years back. I would have driven any distance for that. As it was I was crossing state lines faster than county lines in Texas... Z |

Ourdee: Congratulations! I recall how damn proud I was when I took the Oath following USMC boot camp and also how incredibly proud I was to have my parents there. You have every right to be bursting with pride and thanks for sharing it with the rest of us. We're a;l; supporting your son in our thoughts and prayed and sharing your joy and pride. Court |
