Me too. My friends from Georgia called and asked if I'm going to make it. It hinges on what happens next Tuesday. The Doc is going to let me put weight on the heel. We'll see if I fall down or not. If I'm ok I'm assuming I will have to do some physical therapy. I'm really hoping I'm ready by then even if I have to trailer the Uly there. | ||

I put in my RQ for that weekend... I was only the 6th or 7th to do so to date... GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ackkkkkk Not shaking the black 8ball yet, but, Grumps, you're welcome in any case. I've got a fair amount of time to suss it out, whether I can make it or not. | ||

Oh Sage one, I think you combined subject matter from three separate threads! That takes quite a lot of talent! Speaking of lingo, I remember visiting my great grandfather when he was only 93. It was 1973 and we were on enduro bikes. Grand dad looks at my dad and says, "what kind of contraption are you riding!" I didn't know I was on a contraption! I always admired him, he saw the first car and the man on the moon! Made it to 103! Well I better shut up, I might run out of stories around the campfire! | ||

My grandfather also had some contraptions... I used to meet him every day getting off the 4:30 autogyro at the Prussian consulate in Siam. | ||

Wow Pwnzor, had to Wiki that one! That definitely would be designated a contraption! I knew it as a gyrocopter but now understand that it's original name was autogyro. Very cool. I want one now! | ||

We've been getting drenched in coastal SC since Thursday. Lots of local flooding here. I know big rains can cause big issues in the mountains. | ||

Hugh,did you escape the flooding?I'm seeing some pretty bad video of flooding on the news this morning. There was big wind in Suches yesterday and a lot of debris on the roads.I think in two weeks it will be mostly clean. | ||
