I've had mine for 10 years, and it's showing no signs of falling apart. I hauled a load of scrap lumber (mostly old fence) to the dump this morning with it. |

The one I use is a neighbors, is 10+ years old, and gets stored under a deck... so it's probably only fair that it is falling apart. Last time I used it I apparently ejected a fender somewhere on I-275... Hope it made it onto the shoulder, or became road pizza from a truck. |

With the likely purchase of the Electra Glide, my immediate needs for a trailer seem small. So what do we need for a take apart trailer? Axel that splits in half Channel that breaks into at least 2 sections for motorcycle Front wheel stopper and strap Fenders and lights Main beam and tongue Tie downs for ratchet straps What do we hold all the pieces together with? Bolts/nuts or pins or something different? 8 inch or 12 inch tires? Springs/shocks or solid? What pieces can we get at home depot/Lowes? What pieces need to come from central tractor or harbor freight? |

I wouldn't even make it split. just make it to where the deck detaches from the wheels - then you could roll it over to where you store it, detatch the wheel assy, and flip the deck up against the wall, tree, etc. and then roll the wheels up next to it. |

I have something similar to that, requires a 2 inch receiver. The idea for a trailer that can be broken down is you can throw it in the car, and only assembled it if you need it. |

Anybody else have the Drop-Tail trailer? I love mine. No ramps and it also stands up for storage out of the way. http://www.droptailtrailers.com A little more than the Kendon from what I recall, but I fell into a sweet deal for my double-wides! |

A small single-axle, single-rail trailer CAN be lifted sideways and rested on its wheel by one person. |

"A small single-axle, single-rail trailer CAN be lifted sideways and rested on its wheel by one person." I can do that with my two rail Holsclaw and balance it to jockey it around for storage. |
