Yeah. On a short recoil operated pistol a "booster" or Neilson Device is required for proper operation. A suppressor is actually easy to make. Anyone that can work a tap and with a drill press could make a pretty decent example. Making a booster is not easy, as that requires precise tolerances and the piston is a complicated and precision piece of machined heat treated stainless steel.

A smarter assassin would have just made a shoot through suppressor with rubber wipes. It would have been small and light enough to not have issues with functioning. The wipes are only good for a few shots...which is all that should be needed.

People say that they've seen them in the wild in other calibers. I'm not a fan of stuff with such newness or expense. I haven't seen a single one in any caliber as of yet.
