Wow... after the NC and WV shindigs, hadn't even thought about BTF. Hard to believe summer is getting away from us! Although it's the closest, and I LOVE all the roads, I might be 'fested-out for 2015. It'll have to be a spur of the moment thing, if at all for me. Mark, if that ends up being the inaugural run for your green girl (kinda a first real break-in run, what with 2015 miles), let us know down here. |

Hmmm...dad will be going into a home in October. Might have to fib to work and extend that trip south for a BTF therapy run. |

I've never been to either March Badness or Buelltoberfest. Maybe a trip to the Dragon will be in order this year. |

Crusty, have you never traveled those N. GA or W. NC roads?!?!? IIRC you've done the Dragon, but it's overrated compared to the Cherohala- heck, the road to get to Suches GA (TN68/GA60, same highway with different #'s in each state) is simply awesome! Post up your road omissions in the area, will assist when the time comes. |

Geebus Keerispies. I just put 2 cubes in a finger of 46, first time I tried it, swear to my Maker. If a date gets locked down in October... the 9th/10th/11th/12th might be the best for me. See, I've taken the summer off from working... it's time to get back on the hamster wheel and run for a while, chase some cheese. It's been a nice luxury... I don't have kids, just me and my honey, my house and bills, and two great canines. So, I'll have to plan this out. But, I gotta get back to work. I budgeted for Mark's shindig with Vern, and we made it out and back... by the Grace of God/Goddess, TPS sensors on a dang Bounder, right foot footsie for Vern 9 hours home and the good. "Live to work, or work to live." I do the latter. At this point in time, either I will assist and accommodate all who pass to Suches GA on their way, OR... WE WILL RIDE. Please, stand by. Shawn, I'll race you for pink slips across the Cherohala... Or Mark. |

Basic tent camping should still be available now... they've improved things quite a bit since the new owner took over. He's done a huge amount of good, added about a half dozen shoe-box cabins, right next to a superb bathhouse. Britt and GT were, and still are, the standard there at TWO. The new owner is a local guy, and the innkeepers/WORKERS are awesome too. Mike/Buellish seems to be the local, although Dave/Glitch and several other miscreants know it lots better than me. This is a specific circumstance where things that did SERIOUSLY SUCK, stopped sucking. If we can all just ride down, going into the wintertime... it'll do a world of good for everything, or nothing, but our souls. I'll have to see how my work schedule plays out nearer the time (the curse of the trucker, you know when you leave but not when you're getting back). But I'm itching to give the Guzzi it's first big trip, and run the dragon and cherohala again, this time on my own bike. Good news on the cabins my religion forbids me from camping. |

"Good news on the cabins my religion forbids me from camping." I've recently converted to that same religion, praise clean sheets and a mattress off the ground! |

I try to remain non political. The Campists were an obscure party, they held debates in tents and lobbied around camp fires,or so I've heard.I think that's where S'mores came from. I didn't see any camp fires or S'mores at TWO during Glitch Badness. |

You know, C3 has and always will be a great spot, BUT- my best times have been had at TWO/TWoS, by a campfire. Kristi, as we discussed it, see if you can cajole the C3 new owners into installing a giant Jacuzzi! I'd gladly pay a little more to stay there and soak my bones thoroughly after a day's hard riding with the usual hooligans... |

It's around 1200ish for me so two days down and two back. Stopover in a motel somewhere if there's no strategically placed mug I can freeload bed and breakfast from. |

Innes, you're welcome at my place. I'm about 1 hour from Suches. Alternatively, the rooms and cabins at Two Wheels are nice for around $60 per night. I prefer the rooms above the main lodge, since there is a kitchen upstairs and a private lounge up there as well. |
