Or should I say Victory? Couldn't tell what they improved; http://www.foxnews.com/leisure/2015/07/29/victory- motorcycles-unveils-electric-empulse-tt/?intcmp=hp ff (Message edited by airbozo on July 29, 2015) |

Good to see major manufacturers getting involved in electric bikes |

Agreed, but I am still not seeing what they updated other than modifying a badge or something. Looks like the same Empulse I rode a couple of years ago. |

Waste of time and money on Victory's part. They must be awash in cash or government subsidies. |

All electric bikes will happen, and when it does, it will explode quickly. Harley and Victory are putting a toe in the water to understand the market. Harley by doing the road show, Victory by selling something (likely at a loss) in limited numbers. Zero seems to be the company really building a business out of it. If they could get the Zero DS down to $5000, I'd go buy one. The bike is there, but the batteries aren't (cost wise). |

Brammo seemed to be making money off the electric bikes. Not much, but it was paying for R&D and kept some food on the table. Zero is doing well right now. They have picked up several law enforcement contracts as well as military projects. They are doing something right. The cost of the DSA is not an issue for me right now (of course it could be cheaper), it's the range. Same cost, double the range and I would be riding one tomorrow. |

I have to admit to being curious about e-bikes and would also be a buyer for the right price. 20k+ is not the right price. OH!- and I want software. |

I didn't want a Zero that badly until I went and looked at one. Now I really want one. Thank God I didn't get to ride it, or I would totally be screwed. Seriously nice pieces of machinery. |

Just after I stopped at the ATM for $$$ to pay for my new/used rear tire at BITA 5, dude rolls up on a Zero, wearing BMW gear, and a shiznit eating grin. I killed the motor on the Triumph, we were both waiting for the light to change- I hollered "Nice Bike- I hear Abe Ashkenazi had something to do with it, I'm a Buell guy!" He said "Yeah- it's my second day on it, LOVE it." This, in Marion NC. Fun times. (Message edited by 86129squids on July 30, 2015) |
