Greatlaker: Pretty much all you do here is to ridicule or threaten others. What good have you done here? Have you submitted a ride report? Did you contribute in any way to help Glitch? What about helping other members in trouble? Have you helped a rider? Are you here to learn and/or to educate? Have you personally met or ridden with any Badweb members? Do you have any friends here? Of course this is a convoluted scenario, and is only one of many, but it is needed: it is time to rethink thinking about the unthinkable; and there are many details, including career paths for those manning the second strike force; building a second strike war fighting capability which can survive a first strike against it, or at least present the credible threat of survival and launching a disarming counterstrike without harming large Russian cities. We’ve disarmed you. Now we take out Iran. Stand Down or else. Another scenario. And there are many others. Mutual Assured Deterrence – MAD – rises again when we rethink the unthinkable; and we have no choices. Iran will have the bomb not long after the next President takes office. | ||

The myth of the first strike. Obviously, someone has to be the first to launch but to theorize that somehow Russia could launch a limited strike against the U.S. strategic land based nuclear forces and there would be some discussion before launching a retaliatory strike is preposterous. Missiles would be in the air before the first nuke detonated on American soil. The only way this doesn't happen is if Obama is still in office. With him in office all rational norms go out the window. So, if Putin has an end game he better act on it before 2017. | ||

Rocket has been asked to take a break for a few times for violating board standards of behavior, not for disagreeing. He has generally agreed with the decision at the end of the day, and I think most of us here consider him an a friend even when we are really annoyed with him. GreatLaker, you should also have banned several times as well for the same reason. I can't speak for the other moderators, but I kept from pulling the trigger because it seemed a better punishment to let you stand there at the podium looking like an idiot. You seem to want to be banned. And some of the discussion that followed some of your more stupid statements has lead to some nice clear articulations that counter common and recurring ignorance. As usual, g is wrong. I agreed with much Rocket had to say. I defended some of his points. We disagreed on much too, which is acceptable here. I defend you too. Sometimes a bit backhanded defense, I admit, because your good parts can be easily overlooked in the mass of hit & run sub-adolescent trolling. It very much vexes me to think that the people we freed from tyranny are being sold back into darkness because the President does not value truth or freedom. And there seem to be no brave politicians willing to push the legal remedies to stop him. | ||

I have always found motorcyclists to be the free range freedom thinking that did not play nice with the forced line of BS that was being fed to the masses. The world over - many headed arguments have come to an end when we find out that both of us ride. FTG - go ride, enjoy freedom, find your own line - and when you do - you will know much (if not all) from the idiot TV box is propaganda delivered to make you jump. I didn't agree with Rocket on everything, but you have to remember - the news, and media is different on this side of the pond; the frame of reference is different. Motorcyclist make the world go round, and scare the status quo - I am glad the board has more than just discussions about bikes and the tech specs of the machine. | ||
