When I bought my 09 XT from Slowride, one of the goodies he threw in was a Buell branded tank bag. I still use it and find it really handy. I keep my gloves in it along with my garage door opener, and assorted other things. At this point, it’s seen better days. The zipper on the main compartment broke. Does anyone know who made tank bags for Buell? I’d love to replace it with at least something similar. Thanks in advance. |

One of the "Giant Loop" tankbags should do the trick. http://giantloopmoto.com/products/fandango-tank-ba g-pro/ I have the Fandango standard on my DR650 The Fandango Pro should work pretty well. Plus they zip off. |

Maybe someone with some sewing machine talent could repair/replace the zipper? I picked up a Givi tank bag for my Triumph that mounts to the gas tank filler ring- just drop in onto the mount ring and "click", ready to roll! A side pull releases it. I use it every time I ride that bike. Twisted Throttle's website had quite a few bags like my Givi, by a different brand- IIRC I ordered my bag through Amazon, and it shipped direct from Italy. Didn't get it in time to do the Little Switzerland trip, but I've loved it ever since. |

Wolf, That giant loop looks like it would do the trick nicely. I can't tell from the photos, does it have an easy way to take it off/move it aside when refueling? |

I use this one: http://www.cortech.net/inc/sdetail/super_2_0_18l_t ank_bag/181/569 Strap mount, expandable, and 2 clips to flip it over on the seat when refueling. Hope that helps, Robert |

The Giant Loop zips off. I unzip mine 2/3 of the way and lay it off to the side. Fill up, Flip it back and zip up. The way the straps wrap the frame would be the only bump in the road. I think you could cut them off just past the air box mounting screws. Melt a mounting hole where the screw is and mount it the same way the Buell bag mounts. |

Alternatively get a spare airbox cover to modify for use with the tankbag so the bag straps/clips to the modified cover rather than the frame. |

Zane, If it's just weathered and the only damaged part is the zipper, contact your local dry cleaners and see how much they would charge to replace it. |

No thumper, it's pretty beat up. Don't think it's worth fixing. I'm liking the cortech in the link Robertl send and think the fandango would work fine too. |
