Rick_a, I hear Young Frankenstein viewing that pic. "Give My Creation LIFE!!!" What kind of ridiculous intake did they do? Use a trap from a sink to duck under the frame or cut a passage straight thru to the carb? Reducati, Looks like a lot of effort went into that. |

That last one looks like Craig Vetter and Erik Buell had a few beers together! |

that knobby green military concoction is right up my line of riding - it would never see the clean side of things if it were here . There are some amazing muddy mountain roads out here. Jonesing for a dirty scoot. |

I've said it before, it's time to say it again- regarding Rick A's posted pic... SOFA KING WE TODD ED. The worst part, to me, is the blasphemous placement of the Ed Roth flying eyeball on the pulley cover- as if this rolling, polished turd had ANY legit claim to a legacy that cool. Worse than fugly. At least Reducati's pic shows a bike that took some talent and genuine thought to build... |

I can't see how this isn't the same bike that OD Green above...
So, to answer the question asked:
My pics were taken at the Heavy Rebel Weekender in Winston-Salem, NC in 2013. I fear what other transformations it's gone through since then... 1313 |

I don't understand the placement of the carb. It'll make less power there. |

Well, he got his seat lower. That poor frame..... just so he could use a carb. I guess a downdraft carb was too advanced for him. |

why not just put a faux blower box on it like the Wakan and leave the gas tank intact. I really don't get why you would DRILL through a gas tank like that. This beats the Kawasaki ECM thing that got passed around a few years ago. |

maybe the fuel pump went out to lunch - had these parts laying around and some time and beer (maybe too much of both? ) Cool to see he's still riding it. Different strokes for different folks, and the swingarm looks like he did a pretty good job on it. |

Wouldn't even need a downdraft carb. All he would need is a 90 degree elbow. |

1313 you in WS??? So am I I go to the HRW most years, and I can tell the first pic of the bike (green) was taken at The SmokeOut in Rockingham - look in the back and you can see the steel stairs that lead to the bridge over the staging lanes, plus the fence etc...I know that track REAL well. Anyway. These buells arent my style, but thats alright. As long as the owner is happy then thats cool |

1313 you in WS??? Nope, about 3 & 1/2 hours away or so. I keep my profile updated although my homestead hasn't (officially) changed in nearly 5 years. Heavy Rebel Weekender has turned into an annual event for me, although I've only checked out the car show. One of these years I'd like to check out the bands, but that would increase expenses considerably. The SmokeOut used to be an annual event for me as well, when I was able to make it. Outside of 2008, when I was in Germany on business, I made the SmokeOut from 2003-2009. For some reason, after 2009, my interest had lessened... IMHO, outside of my lessened interest, the event changed drastically over the years. It was AWESOME in Salisbury, especially when you could camp onsite. Just stumble back to your tent and pass out at the end of the day. When they no longer allowed camping onsite in Salisbury, the event lost some of it's flavor - although the after show activities in the Holiday Inn? parking lot added considerable entertainment. Looking through my pics from the old year that I went to the Smoke Out in Rockingham, I stumbled upon the following picture:
That's clearly a red 1999 S3 drag bike:
For some reason I didn't - or was unable to - get anymore pictures of it. No plans to do the SmokeOut this year, but definitely going to Heavy Rebel Weekender! 1313 |

Also, what year was that, do you remember? Cause Ive had leathers for a while (custom Vanson ones, and this pic was still when I was wearing two piece, off the shelf items....well, it was a buell/vanson jacket, but you know what I mean) |

And I'll agree that SO has gotten....different. I go each year and last year just did so little for me. I did leave with some moto bars for the bike (if I ever wanted to get it on the street again) for cheap. And I dont think we're alone in this, turnout last year was weak. HRW is something Ive went to for a long time, cool to show up on Saturday and walk around the 'car show' I did the bands one year (02? 03?) when it was still pretty inexpensive, but at this point I just cant justify the cost, its far too much money |

its just a swingarm... his price is way high, but would make (if a decent price) a good start for a drag bike |

Something about the length and angle of the swingarm, the bend just before it connects to the frame, is BEGGING for some kustom kulture paintwork/BODYwork... Anyone care to photoshopbomb that thing? I dunno how. |

stickers add horsepower ! .... I kid you not, we had a pit bike on the floor that sat most of the season - we put a set of 'Monster' graphics on it - upped the price 500.oo and it sold that week. 8?/ |

I've never cared for any custom work done to sporty motorcycles unless it actually improves the sporty-ness. The green one with ape hangers is especially awful. |

^^I feel like it was on CL for $14,500.00 last fall. I could be wrong, though. |
