ASBN (American Sport Bike Night) had a booth at this great event for the umpteenth year in a row. We had three S2T's an M3 (M2 with a fairing) and a Vetter Mystery Ship. We wore our matching Buell shirts and held court all day. Larry, Rex, Alan, WOZ, Curt, me and my son. We always get lot's of people who are interested in Buell. Lot's of business, so to speak. We hand out our club cards, chat and sometimes exchange info with the faithful or soon to be faithful. We did see two other Buells displayed by other groups. This is by far the best and most unique collection of bikes in one place and the venue is really good. This year's theme was military motorcycles from around the world. You had to be there to believe all that was there. I ran into a few people who brought up EBR's current status. All were compassionate. But I did take the opportunity to tell them that the recent spate of articles written by people with "insider" knowledge are way premature, that those who do know what happened can't talk now. And that we are hopeful for the future. There were several moto-journalists there, two that I know personally, a dealership owner (non-Buell) and even Larry from storage wars. Cool event. We had the promoter drop by our booth and thank us for being there. They are so cool to encourage a grass root Buell enthusiast club like ours to come every year. They are truly seeking to promote motorcycling at our level and have told us so. We will be back next year, Lord willing. I struggle to post pics on BWB, so I'll let Rex do that. We flew our flag today. |
