83 straight out of your hometown going south. Just south of Wooster it becomes a scenic route all the way down to the Ohio River. Once you get to Ohio-7 you can go in either direction along the river. North on 7 is great, south is good too. Great ride. Ohio has some of the best roads in the Midwest period. What part of Ohio would you like to ride? One of my favorite loops to ride is near Steubenville. I take 213 south off of Rt 7. 213 goes into Hammondsville and starts winding up the hills with some great tight turns. I run 213 until I get to 152 and then I head west toward Wintersville. I take a short jog south on 43 until I get to 646. I take 646 west until I get back to 152. This little section of 646 is fantastic. There are some very nice tight turns and the road surface is pretty good. Sometimes I'll just go back and forth on 646 until I've had my fill of turns for the day. | ||

I do 83 south regularly. I also use it in dear season to get to Cambridge. I used it to come back from the WV Buell Rally last year. It never gets old. My mom heard about the long weekend and asked me to do that landscaping at her house, which I think is going to involve digging up shrubs... So it'll most likely turn into a day trip down 83 until I find 555, then back. Either way, fun! | ||
