Anyone know how some one outside of WI may be able to see this? Video Today: Film looks at EBR's history STAFF | April 29, 2015 In an ironic twist of timing, Wisconsin Public Television is scheduled to run “Ragged Edge: An American Comeback Story,” an hour-long documentary on Erik Buell and Erik Buell Racing, LLC , on Friday, May 8 at 10 p.m. EBR, the racing bike manufacturing company Buell founded at 2799 Buell Drive in East Troy, closed its doors in a surprise announcement April 15. EBR was forced to file for receivership after a plan to get capital fell through, Buell said, according to a notice he filed with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. All 126 employees at EBR lost their jobs. But Buell, a former Harley-Davidson employee, is something of a comeback kid—his Buell Motorcycle Company, which closed in October 2009, led to EBR opening one month later. “Ragged Edge” began filming in 2010, and highlights the rise of the new company, bringing back former Buell workers, and EBR's first year in AMA racing. The camera crew's final trip to EBR was in 2014, and Buell sounds upbeat about the future. |
