My live mix / multitrack recording, my buddy John dumped the tracks to the band, they did their own post-production (the video was shot with band go-pros arrayed around the stage). This was a live show (I need to add a room mic for crowd noise), not a studio session. I run a Presonus StudioLive 24.4.2 live digital mixer that I've got configured to output full multitrack audio to my MacBook Pro - each performance averages 30GB (raw). Mastering can be done either with my Presonus software, or with something like ProTools. This...is FUN!! Basically, I hook everything up, hit "record" on the Capture program, and forget it. All I do is run the gig; it constant-streams the audio to the Mac, and I can remaster it as needed, whenever needed, and dump it as either another multitrack, or as a L/R MP3.
It's a start! This band is a bunch of local young kids, they all work at a restaurant in town. The show was April 4; they posted the vid on the 22nd. I'm pretty psyched
