crap, if that was a RX I'd be on it. I bought a Monster 1200S as my daily instead of an SX when this lunacy started... But, I could justify an RX as a track and play toy at that price! |

I picked up my RX for 11,600 plus tax, I probably could have waited and got it for 8 or 9k. Either Way I don't regret it, I got a lot of bike thats for sure. I just picked up an 06 R1 for 4k last week to use as my daily rider (the wife told me to shes the best) I only had a 4k budget and couldn't squeeze out an extra 3k to get another RX. I would jump on one at that price but, thats just me |

If they make the AX, it will sell! The only question is will they be able to keep up with the production of it? |

With 9 miles I doubt the SX listed is a salvage, or a bank repo... There is an RX listed too (current bid at $4,925), also with 9 miles... I am assuming these were purchased at auction, a dealer unloading them? |

For their 2.8 million, does anyone know what Hero actually got? All anything says is they own the consulting business which I would think amounts to just about nothing without employees. |

^ From what's been stated in various articles, Hero got the designs and prototype bikes that EBR had been working on for them. |

That used to a running gag around our office whenever somebody was considering a big purchase. Bill Smith- "Man, I was looking at new trucks yesterday, that new Ford is so cool, but it's pretty pricey." Everybody else- "I am for YOU, Bill Smith!"

looking at the pix at Cranky Ape, there's one showing a scratch on the secondary exhaust. Everything else looks pristine. Also seems you have to have a dealer's license. Thinking about it tho. If I do a fly-n-ride I'll stop and say Hi Bill. Z |

I don't want to "contaminate" any of the new EBR threads with this info, but I thought I'd pass it along. No news on EBR this morning, but a bunch of Indian websites are posting that an HX250R (designed and built by EBR) has been spotted under test in India. I'd guess this means Hero has already been to the factory in East Troy and picked up their $2.8M worth of stuff and gone home with it. |

Mark- Bruce has posted a couple of things in the last week. This exchange was from ebrforum.com on August 24: Me-
quote:Man, this lack of any news is killing me. Hopefully all is proceeding well in East Troy. The ONLY thing of remote interest I've seen in the last week is that an HX250R has been spotted being tested in India. I guess that means Hero's already been to the factory in East Troy, picked up their $2.8M worth of stuff, and gone home.
Bruce Belfer-
quote:HERO stuff has been segregated away from the EBR factory in a separate building. We are working hard to clear the remaining hurdles left by the HERO settlement. Good progress being made every day. Hang in there, Faithful. Good news coming soon. Bruce
The move of the Hero stuff was also confirmed in an Anonymous post in a thread in the "Buell/EBR in the News" sub-forum. Bruce posted this in a thread on Facebook where people were asking about warranties, parts, etc.:
quote:Gents, I'm sure you are aware that restarting a company takes time and effort. Sorry I'm not so active online, but that's because I'm working my ass off behind the scenes. Once there is a new company to address your questions with, all your questions will be addressed! Hang in there. I know what you need and what we have to do.
